(( Ah... Alright. ))
Lacey skidded to a stop as she heard the crackling of the megaphone. She frowned, tilting her chin up and straining to hear the voice over the roar of the students around her. She listened closely until the voice stopped and left the room in a mess of hot, smelly bodies, over-sized text books, a floor that looked like it was completely made up of crumpled up, stepped on papers, and of course, the constant stream of words mushed together. It formed an idle buzzing sound in her head, for there where so many conversations going on at once, she couldn't focus on just one, and so as if it would make it easier, her brain smashed it all together into buzz.
Sometimes, she wondered how her brain came up with these things.
Shrugging it off, Lacey plowed through the groups of students. She pushed and shoved, hissed and growled, and lashed out with the coil of darkness at anyone who dared to challenge her. Using this tatic all the way through the halls, she soon found her way at Room 1C.
Before she could open the door, she was pushed inside by a group of chatty girls. They seemed to be oblivious to the world around him, and sternly believed that it was all about them.
Lacey rolled her eyes at the girls and continued to shove her way through the ever growing crowd. She found herself a nice spot in the corner, along with a surprising abandoned chair. It was as if someone knew she would be here.
Carefully, the girl put her binder down on the ground beneath the chair. She glanced around her, scanning the faces that churned and moved like rushing water in a river, before she stepped up on top of the chair. She stood tall and towered above everyone. She could see the other side of the room, in fact.
She was still amazed how her brain managed to come up with all these ideas.
When Damien wrote in big letters on the black board, she had to squint to see. Once she could read it, though, it made perfect sense. Though, how to open the box was going to be a challenge...
How she could possibly get through all these kids while they were shooting at some box was beyond Lacey. So, instead of actually trying, she decided to stay back and simply grab the assignment once everyone cleared out.
