Kage opened her eyes and grinned. probably about 10 minutes had passed since she entered the room. She lifted her palm and she felt something brush her face. She had created her buterfly, which meant she had control of her powers once again. Some bond She thought. THe buterfly vanished though having lost her concentration from an argument and the limited shadows in the darkness. She trailed her hand along a wall once more and felt something hit her foot and fall over with a small thump. Curious of what it was, she bent down and picked it up and felt wax. She smiled. She knew the feel of a candle when she had one, and for some reason, she instictivly knew it was her item. She rolled the candle in her hand as she stood up, bracing a hand against the wall and felt what must have been a match stuck in the side. She pulled it out and struck the match on the wall, and the match imited a soft glow as the flame flickered, causing shadows to dance around it.

Laurie A. Cross~
"I got my powers three or four years ago!" Laurie smiled and sat on a chair and swung her legs through the air. "I was in a library... And all of a sudden it seemed everyone was talking loudly, but it was actually them thinking... After a day or two I figured how to control it, you just ignore them and push them to the back of your mind, then you can concentrate on the thoughts of people you want to hear! I was quite good at it!" She tilted her head to the side and her smile disappeared, "I lost my powers the night my family..." She clammed up and refused to continue that sentence, "Ever since, my powers haven't worked, or if they do it's only for a few seconds..."

Jackson Emory~
Jackson heard the two students complaining, and recognized the girls voice from the night before. "Look we are all in the same position here, all blind walking around in a room which we can't see anything in. Perhaps if you two would stop bickering and we all worked together we'd find what we were after? Because with more brains thinking up an idea of getting our powers back, the more chance we have of getting our powers back." He reasoned.
Seconds later he noticed a flame, "Ohh pretty flame..."

Kage heard Jackson and she smirked. She didnt say anything as she fixed the small candle in her hand and touched the match to the wick of the candle and the candle imited the same light as the match, if not dimmer. She didnt mind though. She hissed and waved the match out quickly as the flames flickered to her fingure tips. She slipped the dead match into her pocket and a small misty cloud formed around the flickering flame in the candle to keep it from going out as she moved along the wall line, finding her way back to the door that exited the room.

Laurie A. Cross~
"How am I supposed to control something that's no longer there?" Laurie asked faintly as she looked out the window. "It's like I can't actually get to them anymore..."

Jackson Emory~
"Ha, me controlling my power?" Jackson tried not to laugh his head off, "My power seems to do what it likes most of the time Miss. Sleepwalker." He shrugged, "Oh well I guess it's worth a try?"

Kage reached the door and turned the handle. The shadows around the flame thickened and siddenly the flame went out, and the area where she stood had no more glow to it. She slipped out of the room, silently closing the door. She blinked her eyes, trying to get used to the brightness. She stretched and then walked over to Cordell, "'scuse me Sir."

Laurie A. Cross~
Laurie nodded, she wasn't listening anymore she was remembering her parents and her older brother. She kept staring at the sky, daydreaming about trips out and things they'd done together. She didn't register the entrance of Kage and ignored her.

Jackson Emory~
"Do something, do nothing, do something, do nothing..." Jackson said as if he were weighing it up on pretend scales. "What's wrong with my questioning sound?" He grinned to the darkness, "I didn't know there were different types?"

Kage showed him the candle and match. "I have my powers back and I have found the items as you instructed us to do, Sir." She said.
