Re: Demon Hunters ((Accepting!))

Caia waited before answering, thinking through the information before reaching a decision. In that sense, she was the opposite of Trinity. Certainly, if the students really did go off school grounds, which was likely if Damien suggested it, the woods would be the best place to check for any hidden demons. It was dark, somewhat foreboding, and rather attractive for the creepy crawlies (what Caia has been calling demons since she was 4). Finally Caia stood and stretched. "It wouldn't hurt to check, I suppose." She briefly unsheathed her sword to double-check its condition. "Shall we walk, or do it your way?"

.: Trinity Kane :.
Trinity waited patiently for Caia to make her mind up and when Caia agreed she stood up and looked at Jackson, "Bye Jackson," She told the boy, causing him to disappear back to where she'd originally picked him up from. She watched Caia inspect her sword, and then grinned, "My way of course." she used her powers to teleport them without warning halfway through that sentence. It was a habit. She looked around, they'd appeared just outside the school gates. Her eyes scanned the ground looking for trail markers or anything to show where a group of students had disappeared to.

.: Lucinda Chance :.
Lucinda looked confused, glad she was hidden behind the cabinet, she'd been about to run at the teacher when someone beat her to it. She watched as they beat the teacher up and suppressed a giggle as it happened. Then she looked annoyed when the book was taken. 'Teacher or book? She thought, wondering which she should go after, but then realized the book was far away and pointless to go after now. She walked over to Cordell and kicked his side, hard, to check the teacher was really unconscious then took out her pocket watch. The cave appeared on the glass and soon both she and the unconscious teacher appeared back in the cave.
With a bit of help from her sister, Lucinda managed to shove Cordell into hole leading to the bottom of the cave and tie his hands together. Now she was bored. She locked the hatch back into place and waited for everyone to wake up.

As was always the case when teleporting with Trinity, Caia's heart skipped a beat in surprise at the sudden change in scenery, and the odd feeling she always felt made her brain hurt. It didn't help that she wasn't prepared for it, either. At the school gates Caia stumbled a little before regaining her stability. "Trinity," she scowled, "Warn me next time!" With a shake off her head and few deep breaths, Caia felt normal again, and walked along the edge of the trees for any sign of broken branches, recent footprints, or and amount of aftermath, in case a student unleashed their powers. Her eyes narrowed, seeing a few places where they could have entered, but for all she knew it could have been animals.

"Trinity, do you see anything promising." She wouldn't admit it out loud, but Caia was not as good at tracking as Trinity was, especially in this terrain. Give her a few tons of snow, and sure, she could do it. This forest, however, as familiar as it was, was not her regional forte.

.: Trinity Kane :.
"If I warned you, the end result wouldn't be nearly as amusing," Trinity grinned, but then nodded, she'd warn Caia next time. She watched Caia walk around looking for trail markers and then wandered over and joined in. Trinity wandered around the edge of the trees, careful not to tread on anything, mumbling as she did so at what had passed that way, "Badgers, a fox with a limp, another fox, wild rabbit, elephant." She pointed at the path she'd called elephant, "The branches are snapped up high as well as down low, and you can see the outline of a boot print there." She pointed and then began to make her way through the woods carefully.

.: Jackson Emory :.
Jackson felt a little confused after all the appearing/disappearing, and began to wander around, he found himself outside of the library. Sleepwalk seemed to be inside reading... He didn't understand it but in his strange brain-dead state he thought she was probably smelling the pattern of the ink. He walked inside and made his way over, then flopped into a chair. He needed to sort the boring patrols out.

Caia nodded, noting the disturbances Trinity pointed out. Perhaps with time she would have noticed it herself with time... a lot of time. It was a good thing Trinity was here. Silently, she followed Trinity into the brush and trees, constantly looking for anything stranger than usual, for any sign of her students.

.: Trinity Kane :.
Trinity pulled one of her swords from it's sheath, and held it ready in her hand. She ducked under a branch and stopped for a second, looking for a few more trail markers before continuing. This was second nature to her, she had spend most of her life as an assassin trailing people. "See anything?" She asked, two sets of eyes were better than one, and slipped her mask back on.

.: Jackson Emory :.
Jackson watched Ethel walk around putting books back and glanced at the book she'd been reading, dots? He opened his bag and took out his lighter, he flicked the thing on and off repeatedly, too tired to make an actual flame with his powers. The librarian soon came over and told him off so he waited for Ethel to finish putting away books so he could ask he which nights she wanted patrol.

Caia bit her lip, narrowing her eyes against the shadowed woods. "I see branches, and more branches, and leaves." This searching was leaving her tense and irritable. The fact that she had been unable tp notice this situation sooner still bugged her, and all more determined to find the missing students. "Blast it, if only I had the senses Damien did--no, wait." Caia grabbed Trinity's arm and pointed into the trees. "There. Those branches are just like before, brokenn high and low." Only it was more so, more...destroyed. That was worrisome.

.: Trinity Kane :.
Trinity grinned, "Yes I can see those too." She pointed out. Trinity was grabbed suddenly and she looked where Caia was pointing, "Looks like two or three people went past that way." Trinity remarked and touched one of the broken branches. She turned to Caia, "Why not just read the heat registers in the air?" She asked, wondering if it was possible the teacher could do that. She then added, "Just no making snow..."

.: Lucinda Chance :.
Lucinda had grown bored of waiting for the captives to wake up, so she dropped a stink bomb (she'd stolen it from a bag earlier) into the hole and waited. After two seconds the bag snapped open and started spewing out green gunk that smelt like rotten eggs. Lucinda held back a laugh and watched.

.: Lucinda Chance :.
Lucinda burst out laughing watching the teacher come round first and how much pain he seemed to be in. She found it hilarious, she also liked that the smell was covering up the hunter's stench and was quite annoyed because it seemed to be drifting away pretty quickly. She watched through the hatch, it was open because she could easily shut it before any of them managed to escape, and none of the hunters seemed able to right now anyway. She watched as Laurie seemed to whimper quietly before falling back into unconsciousness, the stink bomb probably stung the girls wounds.

.: Angela Thorn :.
Angela grimaced, her head throbbed and she remembered she'd been knocked out, twice. There was also a terrible stench and after choking it out of her lungs, she stopped breathing and held her breath as whatever it was seemed to be burning her throat. She moved slightly and realized her hands were tied behind her, the ropes were too tight to free herself from and for some reason she couldn't make a dagger appear. She took a small breath and realized whatever that stink was had almost gone.

Caia considered the idea, but quickly saw the flaw. "Reading the heat would work well and all, but only across a certain distant. Plus, if they were hidden I would be able to see their individual signatures." Nevertheless, Caia wanted to do something useful. She stood and crossed her arms, trying to think of a way that was broad enough to detect them, or at least give them some sort of lead. She too touched the broken branches. They were fresh, but not that fresh. The demons and students could be well out of her reach. If she didn't strain herself, Caia would be able to feel people and animals a little over a three mile radius. To make sure she didn't waste all her energy, she normally just searched within a mile. Hopefully the demons didn't go too far.

"It might actually not be so much of a longshot." Caia mumbled, half to herself. She closed her eyes and concentrated, distinctly looking for signatures given by living beings. "There is a cave not too far from here. It's not much, but there is a faint reading of heat inside, more than I think a cave usually would." She opened her eyes and began to head in the diretion. "This way." She led Trinity to the cave in question.

((Sorry for the rushed post, but i have to go.))
