Name- Caia Annabelle Grey
Picture or good description- Click here And here -- She has sandy blonde hair which was cut into a layered hair style once she left the Arctic. She protested at first, saying that the way her hair was was just fine. She had been cutting her own hair for years. Caia was convinced, however, that it needed to be done. Unevenly cut hair was fine if you were secluded in the Arctic, but now that she was going out into the world, she needed to at least look presentable. Her eyes are a hazel, light brown color, and because everything is blurry past approximately ten feet, she wears glasses. She would wear contacts, but they were a pain to use. Nevertheless, she has some, just in case.
Age- 24
Family- Grey
Teacher of?- Combat Class
How long have they been teaching?- 3 years
Personality- Caia is an...interesting person. She has a fiery temper that shows through an icy attitude, and a decently caring heart that is often smothered by a sarcastic, tough personality. (I believe these kind of people are sometimes referred to as tsunderes?) Caia is strict with herself and with others, especially her fellow coworkers. She doesn't believe in slacking off and normally doesn't cut corners, so no person should ever expect special treatment, no matter who they are. She deals with situations seriously and usually tries to solve her own problems by herself. Her powers and sword are not just for decoration, after all, and she is perfectly capable of taking care of herself. She doesn't like relying on people for personal problems, or anything, really. Caia thinks it's crucial that she can handle things alone, and unless it's a situation that people need to be aware of, she will handle it by herself. Sometimes it comes to a point where she starts sacrificing herself for the sake of others, and because of her past, Caia developed some rather fatalistic tendencies. She's not beyond the point of working with others. She knows the importance of teamwork, but although she's perfectly willing to have someone else rely on her, she doesn't seem to understand that teamwork is a two-way street.
It's just in her nature to be solitary, after growing up with very little people around her and remaining pretty much unsociable. Caia's not a bad person; she actually is a very good one, and has decently kind heart (as mentioned before) that doesn't show in obvious ways. It's just that she doesn't try very hard to get along with people. With strangers, she's appropriately polite until she decides whether she likes or doesn't like, trust or doesn't trust, them. With those she doesn't like very much, or doesn't trust, she usually ignores them or speaks to them as little as possible. However, because of her temper and stubbornness, Caia often fights with other people, with both those she does and doesn't like. Still, unless she takes it seriously, Caia doesn't hold onto those little tiffs. They are often just petty arguments, anyway.
Due to her history, Caia has grown up and fully accepted the belief that every demon, no matter who they were, was a threat to be dealt with permanently. She is aware of demons that work in cooperation with the hunters, but that doesn't earn her trust. Until it's proven otherwise, and Caia is a witness herself, she'll be suspicious of their intentions and never trust them. Still, ever since leaving the Artic, she had to learn not to kill every demon she sees, but only those she sees that directly poses a threat...just in case. She doesn't like it. Being around demons in what is supposed to be friendly territory make her high-strung. She's worried not only that the demons in question might be deceiving them all, but also that she might grow too accustomed with their presence, that she might blur the wall between ally and enemy. As such, she tries to remain aloof and stoic whenever they're concerned. The last thing she needs is friendly feelings for something that will probably stab her in the back.
However, after her encounters with Trinity and the others, as well as certain demons, she realized she had to change her closed-minded view a bit. It's hard, after a lifetime of labeling demons purely as "the enemy", and she still struggles with it. Things just aren't as black and white as she would like them to be.
History- When the Grey family was thought to be annihilated, Caia was only four, so any memories of the time is a little fuzzy. She lived in the artic, hiding with the remaining survivors, secretly fighting off demons in the there until they were found some time after. Family-wise, Caia can't remember her mother much, since she had died in the attack, and her father died a few years later after recklessly attacking a group of demons. His death was difficult to handle, for both her and her grandfather, but it wasn't hard to accept. After the death of her mother, Caia's father was never quite the same, infatuated with the killing of demons to satisfy his grief. Many of the survivors figured that he would kill himself sooner or later, even Caia, so it wasn't a surprise. Besides, in that certain time of the recovery of the family, it could only be seen as just another death. If circumstances were different, Caia might have hated demons (more than the average hunter) for killing her parents, but the entire family was dealing with loss. Caia didn't allow herself to act like she was a special case, and she didn't want to add an extra strain on her already weary grandfather, who was worried that she might become obsessed like her father. So she taught herself to suppress those feelings of revenge and sorrow, and pretty much forced herself to mature when her grandfather claimed she should enjoy childhood more. Caia focused on her training, increasing her abilities, and didn't spend a lot of time with other people. Sure, there were few in number and they were all technically family, but in order to be able to protect everyone she needed to learn how. Socializing took time out of her studies, and because she grew up in that kind of self-enforced lifestyle, she learned to cherish those she held dear and forsake her enemies, as well as instinctively how to be detached and solitary.
Caia never attended the school as a student, but accepted a position as teacher. The Council contacted her with an offer, since there was a significant lack of Greys in the world, to teach future demon hunters. As a side job, she was also commissioned to kill any and all demons that "posed a threat". Of course, all that meant was "treat every demon you see as a threat". Caia readily accepted, seeing as she had no qualms with immediately getting rid of everything that could threaten those she cared about. She left the artic to teach those here to defend themselves, and to protect everyone she could with everything she had. Caia wasn't keen on having someone die on her watch. Not when she was finally able to do something about it.
Interesting fact- Not only does she work with the temperature, but she also wields a sword resembling a falchion. Here is a picture if you need one.

Name- Liam Storm
Picture or good description- Recognizing that this is a drawing, his hair is still a darkish red, and he has dark blue eyes

Nicknames- Lee, Stormy
Age- 17
Family- Storm, has mother and sister as immediate family
Can they control their powers?- Decently, yes. Liam can produce 4 duplicates when he tries really hard, but due to current inexperience it drains him faster, so he usually sticks with 3.
Are they evil or good?- Good
Personality- He’s dedicated, hard-working, and doesn’t really say much when he hasn't got things to say. Being from a relatively new family, he recognizes that he is unfamiliar with the world of demons, so he keeps in mind to respect those who know more than him, like teachers. He’s very protective of his friends, and since he doesn’t make a habit of making enemies, he sees everyone as at least an acquaintance. He’s a very good listener, and a very good athlete, making him rather dependable. He's also so blatantly honest that it can be pretty funny sometimes, or severely annoying. He's easy-going, or rather, things don't really rile him up much.
History- He was born and raised as a Storm, so the thing with the hikers isn’t something that he experienced himself. His past isn’t too extraordinary compared to others. His father died of an illness when he was 10, and whether it was caused by natural causes or by demons is still under question. That’s probably the most noteworthy event in his entire life.
Interesting fact-
Other- He’s adept with a pistol, rifle, and daggers (to throw and use for close combat when he’s out of bullets)

Name- Elaine Emory
Picture or good description-

Nicknames- Melody, Sweets
Age- 15
Can they control their powers?- She could, yes, before she was subjected to reversal. Now all she can do is give someone an electric pulse.
Are they evil or good?- Depends on what people call good and evil
Personality- I haven’t quite figured this out yet. She’s pretty unsociable, though it got worse after the attack, and gets defensive over a lot of trivial things. Her height is a definite sore spot, since she’s so short. Despite that, she’s a pretty nice person. …That’s all I’ve got.
History- Elaine has a pretty big family, with two brothers and two sisters. In the attack, though, she lost a brother, her uncle, and whatever Emory’s that were out there. It hit her pretty hard, since her family is important to her.
Interesting fact- She plays the violin extremely well, hence her nickname “Melody”. Her music can really affect a person’s emotions, especially her sad, mourning tunes. She’s great at those.
Other- Her other nickname, “Sweets”, is more of a sarcastic one. Her personality really isn’t all that sweet, and if it is, no one knows about it. Elaine’s acts pretty cold practically all the time, so the nickname is more, like I said, sarcastic.
Other other: She uses a metal rod as her weapon that's about half her height, the black one in the picture below. Since metal can conduct electricity well, it can be used for both plain combat and as a source for her powers.

Name- Amos Grey
Picture or good description-

Age- 68
Personality- Amos is an odd old man, but at the same time he's like any other (except, of course, for the fact he is a hunter). He's a bit of an eccentric, often coming up with strange hairstyles, or wearing clothes that did not fit the situation at all. Being a Grey, he could really wear whatever he wanted and it wouldn't matter, but it's more along the lines of circumstance. For example, if he could, he'd show up at a funeral wearing a Hawaiian shirt and bright orange shorts, with the possibility of a sombrero. Caia would lecture him for hours, though, and maybe even ignore him for a while in embarrassment, so Amos makes sure he's not "disrespecting a ceremony to mourn the passing of a human being." As it is, Caia barely talks about him at Horia.
He's really not like his granddaughter at all, or vice versa. He's so easy-going, and isn't nearly as tense and strict as the other council members. Sure, he's serious when it counts, but most of the time his laissez-faire attitude takes away any judgmental feelings he could have. Even where the half-demon Trinity was involved, he didn't mind her nearly as much as the other eleven. He recognized that one day, she could prove a potential threat. Until then, she was another person, and Amos got along well with people. He's just not easy to hate, nor is he one to easily hate. And he is quite the mischief maker. Like wearing the wrong clothes for a funeral, Amos seems enjoy breaking rules, either written or unspoken, and he always gets away with it. After all, all rules have their fine print, and he has never gone far enough to actually be punished in anything. He calls it "wisdom derived from old age".
Amos is a friendly man, and gets along with pretty much everyone, but there is no one more important than his granddaughter. He dotes on her constantly, even when she's not around. He calls her, he writes letters, he checks up on her condition at least once a month (which Caia happens not to know about, per his request). She would call it annoying (even though she secretly likes talking to her grandfather), but Amos never gets enough of it. Perhaps their bond was strengthened because they are each others only living relative (the rest of the Grey family doesn't really count, even if they are technically related). Amos cares deeply for Caia, constantly worrying about her safety, and pestering her about marrying (a topic she always tries to avoid). He wants grandchildren, after all. The more family, the better. Caia never seems to be worried about having a happy family, and it concerns Amos. Who was she going to have after he dies?
And in some ways, they are alike. They both have a habit of hiding their problems. For Caia, it is because she doesn't to burden people with her problems when they have enough of their own, a habit she required as her grandfather was raising her. For Amos, it's pretty much the same reason, but the habit only applies where Caia is concerned. He always regretted that Caia's childhood was pretty much non-existent. She had to mature way to quickly, and in his opinion, she never learned to how to relax. Even as a child, she worried constantly like an adult. So, now that she has an opportunity to experience the world beyond the Artic, Amos is always pushing her to enjoy herself (and find a husband XD). He would try his best to lessen her concerns, and to not give her any new ones. That's part of the reason he hadn't told her he'd been selected as the new Grey council member.
Well, as another similarity, they are both gourmets... or gluttons. Whichever term you prefer. The two of them eating out together was every restaurant's nightmare.
History- Up until the massacre of the Grey family, Amos's life had been relatively normal. Naturally, it's hard to call a demon hunter's life normal, but he felt it was average in the retrospect of things. His powers were somewhat above average, it's true, and throughout his life he showed a lot of promise, gaining a favorable reputation within the Grey council. He fell in love, married, had a daughter, and eventually a granddaughter. Life was fraught with danger, but it was a good life.
And then there's that saying, "all good things must come to an end". He should have known his good life wouldn't last forever. The massacre of the Grey's was the single worst moment in Amos's life, as it was for many of the surviving Greys, that could still remember day. Amos lost his daughter and wife in battle, and a few years after his son-in-law went off and recklessly got himself killed as well. Rather than feel mass amounts of sorrow for that, his anger towards his daughter's husband never dissipated in all these years. The man was unable to cope with his grief, his mind possessed with killing demons and only that. There was no room in his life to pay even an ounce of attention towards his daughter, and when she was already alone enough, he left her in the world completely by herself. Amos was her only family, and he tried to make up for her loss desperately, but there was nothing he could do to replace what she didn't have to begin with. He blames Caia's father for allowing her childhood to remain cold and heartless, and then dying without trying to fix it. Even showering her with loving affection did little to encourage childlike innocence.
And so, the Artic was just one long, drawn-out period of survival in Amos's life. He had little personal possessions: a few books and an assortment of clothing, along with some pictures of his loved ones. Once the Greys came out of hiding, Amos took minimal trips to the outside world, used to only living in the Artic. It was only a few months ago that he was appointed as a council member for the Grey family. The last one died of a heart-attack, his frail heart startled by one of Trinity's surprise "gifts". At least, that was the claim. The old man was due to drop dead at any time. He hasn't told Caia yet, all the mail she sends is redirected

little while longer. That's what Amos thought everytime he talked with her.
Family heirloom- Silver ring with an aquamarine gemstone. Due to the temp changing capabilities of the Grey family, the stone has been known to change from blue to green depending on the heat.
Interesting fact- He has a habit of casually quoting random people. Sometimes they make sense in a conversation, sometimes they don't.
Other- To restate things again, he is Caia Grey's grandfather, and the one who raised her from childhood after her parents died.

Name- Li Mei London
Picture-

Age- 32
Personality- She's very disciplined, coming from a pretty strict branch of the London family. Li Mei is serious, thoughtful, and yet skeptical, usually making all judgments from the facts, not assumptions. She is one of the those who believes that all decisions should only be based on hard evidence. Intuition and observation is certainly important, but Li Mei isn't comfortable determining anything without being truly convinced with facts. That is why, considering the troubles of Horia (especially Trinity), she holds the opinion a good portion of the council does: more trouble than it could be worth. There is just not enough reason to get ridof them, in Li Mei's opinion. At least they're not destroying the world, even if they do have the reputation of the most difficult of schools.
Li Mei does have a soft spot for children, and even she doesn't know why. Whenever she goes on inspection at the different academies, she spends more time among the students than she does with the actual teachers. In fact, she won't even visit the headmaster or mistress first. She'll immediately break off and visit a class, or walk through the halls to talk with the students. Everyone now expects it, but it's still hard to find her (before she digs up some dirt) anyway.
History- Li Mei was born and mostly raised in China, the second daugter of well-respected branch of the London family. She was always a calm child, collected when others were distressed and hyperactive. She was specifically raised to be a person of power, to "lead" people, since her personality was simply fit for the role. She was more of a thinker, only acting when there was good reason to, and her powers as a London were significant and convenient as well. Not only could she transform into a land creature, but an aquatic one as well. She rose in reputation as a gifted hunter, even as a teenager, and when the Council needed a London counciler, Li Mei was a prominent. It didn't come as a huge surprise when she was chosen.
She actually has two children back in China, living with her parents and the rest of her family. Li Mei takes a few days off every once in a while to visit them, or sometimes they just come visit her. While she is just as serious and strict with them as she is with everyone else, she is visibly much more lenient where they are concerned.
Family heirloom- necklace - Said to be a gift from a King of Beasts to a London hundreds of years ago.
Interesting fact- Her transformations are the Octopus, having lived and educated in Shanghai (a coastal city), and the Bengal Tiger.
Other- N/A at the moment
