"Because I said she was a screamer?" Karl inquired, snorting. "Thats no reason to get all flustered over. People usually scream when youre murdering them."

Anber rumbled, curling the side of her lip back. "Yes, I'm sure." she growled, glaring.

Karl glared at Anber out of the corner of his eye, narrowing his amber brown orbs after a moment. "I may not be some gushy goody two shoes door mat like my brother, but my loyalty is never questioned. I pick a side and stick to it."

Anber listened, still glaring off into space. "Hnnn... I see.." she mutered, not showing any really any change in her thoughts.

The silence was awkward and uncormfortable, and Karl didn't really feel like sitting there and being interrogted or whatever. He stood up, intending to leave, but Charlie was a dead weight on his leg, refusing to let go.

Anber watched as Karl tried to leave but couldn't because of her adoptive daughter. She sighed quietly to herself, running her hand over her face as she quietly contemplated something. She grumbled quietly to herself, fighting a battle with her pride to allow herself to be wrong. To believe that she could be wrong. Anber eventually gave, her shoulders tensing as she willed herself to be meek enough to fold. "I'm...... sorry." she practically bit out, clenching her jaws together almost painfully. Her vanity made it excruciating for her to be like this...


Charlie kept herself stuck to Karl, refusing to let go.

Karl stilled, not believing what he had just heard. He turned to look at Anber fully, shock not masked. Did she just... apologize?

Surely he had finally lost it, or that the apocolypse had come and was consuming the earth as he stood there, dumbfounded.

After a while of gawking, Karl seemed to coe out of his stall and he approached Anber, hooking his arm around her waist and pulling her flush up against him, nuzzling her. "Really?" he inquired, innocently.
