Roxy nodded. "Alright. If you need anything more, just call, okay?" she told Haji.


Anber noticed Karl look away from her and she snorted. "Charlotte, come here. We're leaving." she ordered, voice firm and level.


Charlie looked up, having heard Anber call her. The young girl quickly shook her head. "Uh-uh! I no want Daddy to go! Mommy, let Daddy stay." she cried.

Karl continued to look away. She didn't want him anymore, so why should he look at her? He felt Charlie cling to him and he sighed inwardly.

Haji nodded. "Alright. You better get out of here before you catch my cold." the brute chuckled hoarsly.

Roxy nodded with a smirk. "Alright." she said as she bent down and gave Haji a peck on his forhead. She then turned and left the room quietly.


"Charlotte." Anber rumbled as the girl refused to leave Karl's side and begged why he couldn't come. "Because." she growled, narrowing her crimson eyes sharply.


Charlie continued to fuss and whine, and beg and plead, not letting go or giving up in her relentless attempt to get her mother to see reason.

Haji watched her go, then began to eat hissoup and finish his tea. Ah. The hot broth felt and tasted really good. Roxy wasn't a bad cook now that he thought about it...


Karl let Charlie cling to him, keeping his mouth shut for the time being. He dudn't understand why she didn't believe him... he always told the truth.

Inuyasha was in a deep sleep on the couch but mummbled in hisnsleep of the past

Roxy disappeared down the stairwell, going back to tend to the trio of fuzz-headed Halfbloods. She checked on them, making sure they hadn't gotten a hold of a bug or something before reclining on the chair. She sighed lightly to herself.


"But what Daddy do wrong? Why you no want him?" Charlie demanded, earning a 'because he's a cheating liar' in response. "Nuh-uh! Daddy said he no lying!" she corrected, giving Anber reason to growl at Karl for having discussed this with her daughter.

Karl growled back. "I didn't ask her to come looking for me you know." he rumbled, not about o get in trouble for charlies own curiosity. "And she's right. I didn't lie."


(Derp... I don't know what to post for haji and all... any ideas?)

"I know that." Anber snapped, understanding that Charlie cared for the man. "Hmph! I'm not stupid Karl. You were bragging about her after you got back late that night." she countered with a hiss. She was still feeling awfully sore about their fight. Her nasty hangover wasn't helping in the least...

"Why would I lie? What could I possibly get out of that?" Karl insisted, stretching the word possibly. "I told you I killed her, and thats exactly what happened. I was bored so I cornered her in an alley and took her life for amusement. I didn't know going out and taking a break from sitting in the house all day was a crime."

The chevalier snorted, clearly upset over the whole matter. "You won't even give me a chance to explain. I offered you evidence of my doings, but you refused. And you don't know the whole story, only the made up one your mind conjured that you want to believe."

The frustrated man flicked his hair over his shoulder, turning away from Anber yet again in his vain display. She didn't get it. If he wanted to cheat on her, then he wouldve, long ago, but it had been about a year since they had been together, so he wasn't understanding why she was so stubborn about him being something he wasn't. He treated her like a queen and abided by all of her rules, so there was absolutely no reason for her to be questioning his loyalty.

Maybe she was the one who had something to hide....

Anber listened with a frown at Karl's explanation, crossing her arms over her chest. To her nothing of what he had said the previous night sounded right. It was all wrong and had purpose to make her furious.

"That's not the way you were explaining it at all... You gave me clear reason to believe you were doing something of a completely different nature." she almost muttered, her voice suddenly dropping off quietly. Anber looked off, glaring at the sodden turf beside her.
