[[ Touchfire ]]
Touchfire is a Semi-literate through literate canine roleplay which was created not to long ago and looking for active members with good grammar. The plot takes place surprisingly on earth, but a dying version of our home planet which has long been deserted by man. The animals that were left behind consisted of the wild, and those whose ancestors either were strays to begin with or were abandoned by their previous owners as they left the planet for one that could sustain them. No high ranks are open at the moment, sorry. ^^;; The ranks still // always accepting members are Saboteurs, Hunters, Mothers, Trainees and Youths. As well as out-of the pack ranks like Loners and Rouges. Please keep in mind, there can be more species of canines than just wolves. Domestic breeds were also left on the planet and have intertwined with the wolves. ^^ If you have any questions about the roleplay itself or anything else, feel free to PM me.
[[ plot ]]
On a planet long deserted by man, leading their kin and packmates into a land plagued with ravenous fires, a pack of resourceful canines will have to beat the odds to pull out a normal life in the harsh wilderness after being driven from their previous home by similar occurrences, except the result was a total collapse in the ecosystem. Here they hope the vast, seemingly endless terrors will come to an end before they are forced to move on once again. What they didn't know, however, is that the fires will only get worse as the world they call home continues to parish. You see, their planet may of been healthy, but as time progressed during the period of Man, was been poisoned beyond anything the species housed there could prevent. As the "Poison" grows closer to bringing the planet to it's end, the ecosystems that once kept the creatures sustained will collapse completely on their own, or be wiped out. The pack of hopeful canines should only focus on one key factor;
Survival.
[[ rules ]]
o1. No godmodding or godplay.
No, wolves and other canines aren't gods. Sorry to break it to you. They all die sooner or later. They all get wounded sooner or later. You can't take down a full grown elk and or deer [Or other large prey animal] on your own. It's just not right. Do you think wolves and or dogs can just run up to a deer, snap its jugular, and then its dead? I don't think so. ono I also don't think wolves or dogs can breath fire, walk on water, or control the elements. Sorry. :D
o2. Follow Tess's set rules.
We don't want to see this thread get locked, now do we? We also don't want to get board warnings or possible bans either, so lets all just play it nice and follow the rules of this thread, and those you should already be following on the site. Simple, right? I'd like to say so myself. :3 So that means no force mating // force breeding, and the etc.
o3. A paragraph and good grammar.
No text talk, chat speak, or abbreviated words are tolerated here at Forgotten Hollows. Sorry, but if you want to write your whole posts in some alien language, go find a thread that allows it. Bye. Also, please write at least one paragraph [7+ sentences] per post. We understand if you have writers block, but don't make it a common excuse. Heck, I'd prefer it if you didn't make it an "Excuse" at all.
o4. Only play your characters and give others time to respond
What I mean by this is, that if you are roleplaying with someone else, in a fight for say, that you cannot control their characters actions. Only your characters are yours to play as. You also have to give their character time to respond to your action. Below is an example.
Player one: The brute pounced on the snarling fae, biting into her nape as she struggled below him. The fae let out a horse cry of pain before collapsing to the ground, dead or seriously injured.
Player two: -_-
As you can see, "Player one" was playing both the fae, and the brute in this little fight, while he or she should of only been playing the brute, his or her character. Now player two is most likely highly confused and in a bad mood because of his or her character being controlled by another person, and injured or worse. This is a improper example of how this should of gone. Below is an example of how it should of been played out.
Player one: The brute pounced on the fae, snapping at her neck and trying to get a grip.
Player two: The fae yelped as the brute pounced on to her pack, struggling beneath him in attempt to keep his jaws free of her throat.
o5. If you must, use brackets for OOC
I would rather you don't have conversations in OOC [Out of Character] unless it's absolutely necessary. If you cannot just PM whoever you need to talk to, use Brackets, like [[]] {{}} (()) to show that your not in character. It just keeps everything neater.
o6. This is just a roleplay
Don't go jump off a building because your mate died. Or swallow a bottle of pills because you lost a fight. Everything is going to be ok. Just breathe.
o7. Usage of Images in roleplay posts
While I don't mind you using images in your posts, I'd rather them not be any larger than 300x300 or no smaller than 200x100, and for them to be of your character or somehow pertaining to your character in some way, shape, or form.
o8. Activity counts, don't think it doesn't.
You must be active in the roleplay. Don't just join, and never post. It's rude, and can cause problems if your character is a higher rank like Healer, Adviser, Bet/a/ess or Alph/a/ess. Don't join, make a few posts, then never post again. It's not cool, and can be misleading. If you do not post a week after you join, or a week after your last post, you will be removed from the ranks all together. That is, unless you have PM'd me with a reason on why you will be gone, such as vacation or no internet access.
