Ontario nodded a greeting to Michigan, then responded to Maria. "Alright, if you're sure." he said calmly, not pressing the matter any more than that, not wanting to seem pushy or intrusive.

Australia jumped up and down, and poor Nigel gave a wheeze. He looked kindly at the animal and crooned his apologies. "Where? I love stingrays!" If he'd had a tail, it would be going ten billion miles per hour.

Tennessee crossed her arms. "No beer for the girl," she said crossly. "Now, can some state-" She was adressing Texas and Minnesota - "Help me find my phone? Call it or something?" She shook her head, her short brown hair flopping.

New Zealand laughed and patted her brother's shoulder, leading him down the hall toward the exhibit. 'Like a puppy dog.' she thought with a smile. "Here we are." she said, entering a doorway and coming into a massive dome-shaped room with a large, shallow pool full of stingrays. The pool stretched almost from wall to wall, with enough room around it to walk. The wall of the pool came about as high as New Zealand's stomach, so it was easy enough to lean over and put your hand in the water. Before they could New Zealand made her way to the hand washing station. "We have to wash up first so we don't give them germs or anything." she said with a grin. "When you're touching them, keep your hand flat and let them come to you- they love being pet, so they will. Also, just touch their back- their tail isn't dangerious but they don't like it being touched." she warned him with a grin, walking toward the pool after washing her hands.

((All details here are coming from experiance- I work at the Toronto Zoo for my volunteer hours, and they an exhibit like this open all summer ^.^ So much fun touching the stingrays))

Australia nodded excitedly. "Just like the Bonnet sharks we can touch at my zoo!" He jumps up and down and sets Nigel down. He gives him some sort of gurgle from the back of his throat, but Australia taps his nose. "Nope." He flounces over to the sinks and stuff, and he washes his hands quickly, but effectively. he then races over and puts his hand out, and one immediately comes up and nuzzles his hand. "Animals love me!" He shouts, competely enthrally. "This is great, mate!" Seeing as a few others are clustering around.



((Lucky! That's soooo cool! At our zoo, we have a, practically, small aquarium. Bunches of fishes and octupi and sharks and seahorses and polar bears and walruses and penguins, all in one roofed exhibit or a bunch. We getta pet sharks, but no rays. =C I've pettededed rays before. Sooo fun!

(Haha, that's pretty cool My zoo's exhibit just got Bonnet sharks last year too- they apparently like the rays ^.^)

New Zealand stood next to her brother, leaning over and setting her flattened hand in the water. As they swam, the stingrays near her changed their course a little, swimming closer to the top so that they could be stroked as they went by. New Zealand chuckled and stroked one they had paused it's swim and stayed for the affection. "They feel do neat when you touch them- like rubber. And they kinda act like a cat, rubbing up to you, want affection." she mused as she stroked the Ray with a grin.

Australia smiled and wrinkled his nose with a grin slapped onto his face. "It just ran into me, mate!" He gave one a sort of light push on its back and it turned in a tight circle. But when he didn't do it again, it floated contentedly off. "I love sea life!" He was just as enthralled as one could be.

((Yeah, we got them too a year or two ago. They kinda are. They're really funny to just watch ^^' Not that I just stand around and watch and pet sharks all day. Promise. I love my polar bears. That reminds me, I got a shark to purr by rubbing around it's dorsal fin!))

New Zealand nodded in agreement. "Totally! I think it would be so amazing to be a fish or some form of aquatic life for a day, just to see what it's like." she said thoughtfully as she stroked another Ray accross it's back.

Australia nodded enthusiastically. "Aye, how fun it would be to be such a handsome little fish and swim with no worries or regrets!" He laughed, realizing he had quoted something. "This is so fun, mate!"
