Vanessa sat on a bench in the empty courtyard practicing drawing a bird. It seemed she could never get the little legs the right shape. She let out a frustrated breath scribbling through the bird. Everything was quiet and still this early in the morning. She liked to get to school before everyone else so she can have some peace and quiet before the chaos. She sun warmed her dark hair and she pulled it over one shoulder letting the sun kiss her pale skin.

Rachael wiped her mouth and stepped over her now cold and lifeless breakfast. She had a slight smirk on her lips as she walked back to her house and up to her room checking herself in the mirror. She cocked her head sideways, turning her body to get a better view of her slim body. She grabbed a thin pink jacket and tucked her phone in the pocket and walked back out into the damp, cool air.
