rapunzel squinted in confusion. "you...you... nevermind that! you're back and that's all that matters." she smiled joyfully.

"well i suppose so ... im not sure where i went to begin with though." he replied.

rapunzel took a deep breath. she pulled back and studied him carefully." i don't understand. i SAW you...you.... and the witch..............." her stomach boiled.
this was not thomas.
this couldn't be HER thomas.
This.. this... thing had never loved her.
This thing was strange.
This thing could never even look like thomas.
This thing was a MONSTER.
Her heart snapped. "GET OUT." She screeched, tears filling her eyes. She backed into the kitchen. "GET OUT!" a strangled cry escaped her lips. strands of hair dangled in her face as she stumbled into the kitched backwards. she fumbled behind her. "YOU- YOU- MONSTER!" She screamed. "he is DEAD. DEAD!" rapunzel snarled. "I don't want you here! I LOVED HIM!"
The newly insane creature crashed into the cupboards behind her. Clangs and clatters filled the tower, almost more than it filled her with dread. What had she become? "I HATE YOU!" bellowed rapunzel.


"THOMAS IS DEAD!"


She fell to her knees as the words echoed all around her, filling every twist and turn.Frying pan in hand, she whispered it to herself once more.
"Thomas is dead."

"... Rapunzel ... im right here." he said sadly. "... what ... has happened to you?" he asked, his voice almost haunting in the last part before the image of him disappeared.

Rapunzel crumpled to the ground, whimpering. Her hands rose to her hair, She clutched it in fury and pain. The whimpering ended eventually and the tower was quiet.
"I- I don't know." she whispered.
The tortured soul picked up a piece of broken dish with shaky hands and looked at her terrifying reflection.
"I don't know."
With an infuriating growl she threw the dish remain as hard as she could out her window. Bit by bit, the girl snatched the remains of pots and pans and flung them to join their other piece. A tortured shriek pierced the woods. Rapunzel swooped down on a kitchen knife. In an instant, her hair was on the floor. She threw that out the window too. She no longer wanted to be Rapunzel. She no longer wanted to be this broken soul.She no longer wanted pain.
Dashing into the nearest bathroom, rapunzel tried to catch her breath. She looked into the blackened mirror.

She saw a menacing creature with shaggy black hair that came all the way down her back. Scars jutted it's face from it's frenzy for happiness. Tear stains streaked it's abandoned green eyes. It was thin and bony. It's clothes were tattered and ripped. It's face was a beautiful mask over an ugly heart, Not rapunzel. No, not anymore.

Vincent was inside the mirror, hiding from view as he watched her now. He found it interesting how easy it was to drive her to madness.

( Don't get me wrong, I'm not that dramatic of a writer. XD There is plenty of reasons why she is insane. 1 She was raised by a witch. 2 The love of her life was killed by her "mother" (the witch) 3 about an hour ago she discovered the love of her life was "still alive" but he was not. 4 she is stranded in a tower with no one to keep her sane. Not even her witch mother. So yeah.. trust me, i'm not that weird XD. I also had an idea. Wouldn't it be cool if the 2 insane people allied themselves to become a murderous couple? If you don't want to do that, that's okay.. But I'd rather R live. Since, ya know. she's kinda one of my main characters XD.)

Vincent had grown bored of watching her go mad and had begun to walk around the Twilight Zone. a dimension secretly hidden in the mirrors of the world where people like him and spirits can roam. All the souls had been brought to their proper places though and he walked alone through the realm. Some people called it Limbo, that place in heaven where people waited to see if they go to heaven or go to hell. He was the gatekeeper, the one who told the souls where to go once they were captured and brought here.
