Astrix stood up as the girl waved back. Who was she? Was she supposed to be out here? Maybe she even had a power like others did. Anything was possible out in these woods. Then again, this could be a normal girl out for a midnight walk out by the lake in the woods with dangerous animals sulking around. No.

Birch pulled down again on her hat when she paused, her ears flicking. Staring out the slightly open window, she closed her eyes and breathed in deeply. Then as if returning from a trance, she turned to Kaimu and Jared. "Did you hear that?" she questioned.

Star closed her eyes as she stumbled through the woods, her only guide the painful cry. Soon, she paused. It was really loud, but where was it coming from? Searching around frantically, Star soon could not bear it and opened her eyes, soon adjusting to the darkness. A little away, a deer lay on the ground. It was a beautiful elk, but something had happened. Faintly breathing, the creature strained to stagger upright, but then collapsed onto the ground again. Star stifled a cry of distress when she noticed the thick stream of blood oozing from a wound on the elk's side. Its leg was also limp, unable to move. It would die in 5 minutes from either exaughstion or franctiness, unless Star could somehow save it. That seemed merely impossible to the girl.

"Hear what?" Jared asked looking over at Birch. "I guess I didn't hear anything." He said looking at the window also.

Birch listened again, her ears quivering. "I hear something... It's like... It's a wolf howl!" she finally said after pin pointing the noise. "A wolf is howling..."

A shiver ran up Mayas spine when she heard the howl, she looked back at where the girl and wolf had disappeared, then back at Lauriana.
"I think we better make camp for the night." she said, the flame on her arm growing brighter.


Troy glided across the frozen lake, falling down every once and a while.
"This is a blast!" he said cheerfully, spinning around in a circle, until he got dizzy and fell down. "Ouch!" Troy said, landing square onto his bottom, he pushed himself up and tried again, not caring if he would fall. The halo of light surrounding him grew blindingly bright, sending light in every direction.

Jared also listened. "Huh. Must be one from the woods." He said with a shrug. "Nothing big I should think."
