Astrix soon stood up and cocked his head. She didn't seem like she wanted to kill him. Well, at least she didn't look angry at him for any reason like some did before. Taking a step forward, he stopped, thinking. What if he messed this up as well?

Birch closed her eyes, savoring the sound, really resisting her instinct that seemed to be pulling at her. Her instinct was to howl back, to tell them where she was, and if she was okay or not. It was so strong that she almost had, but she couldn't. It would totally freak Jared's mom out. Sighing, she looked down, placing her cheek against a balled hand on the windowsill.

Star bit her finger as she stared helplessly at the fallen elk. It's sides heaved with exhaustion and it's breathing was shallow. She felt a lone tear fall down her face. The elk looked at her like she was supposed to do something. What was she supposed to do though? She was just a normal and ordinary girl in the woods. She sobbed. The most best thing that she could do was comfort it. Bending down near it's side, Star placed a hand gently on the creature's side. She placed a hand on his velvety muzzle and rubbed it. Running her fingers gently down on the creature's soft hide, she ran them to the place where the wound was. Wincing, Star looked at the bright red infected flesh. It looked so painful. She held her hand over the wound, feeling the heat radiating from the wound. Suddenly, there was a small spark. Frowning, Star looked under her hand. What had happened? Was there a sliver or something stuck in the elk's leg?
Looking closer, she felt compelled to touch the wound just to see if there was something she could get out. As she touched it lightly, the elk grunted and stretched, as if wanting her to. Looking sideways at the elk, Star placed her hand over the wound and felt the warm blood against her hand. Closing her eyes, she listened to the elk's breathing, enchanted by the rythm it made, and suddenly her eyes were flooded with light. Casting open her eyelids, Star breathed in deeply as light blue light blazed from her hand. It spread over the elk's body and glowed bright on the creature's other wound. Star strained to pull away, afraid that she might be hurting the animal, but instead her hand stayed, resisting the pull of her arm. Yelling out, the light blazed like a comet, lighting up the surrounding clearing.

The howl ended and the girl with the silver hair looked down, staring into the yellow eyes of the wolf. They met and seemed to be talking in a way, and then they ran together after seeming like they had agreed on something. Dissapearing into the shadows of the woods, they ran silently.
