Delta opened her eyes, tense and alert. When she realized she was only in the helicopter, she relaxed.
Nightmares were becoming problematic. She missed the calm, dreamless rest she'd had as a robot. But more emotions meant more fears, and that would lead to times when she would be afraid to go to sleep. Because no matter how brave she tried to be, it always failed in the face of the dream world.
But there were good things too. Hitting the airborne practice targets with ease, finding a trail when others didn't, and the snatches of time with her friends on Cybertron. These she could fall back on when nightmares came to call.
Just as she felt she could drift back to sleep, the sun cast a few rays over the horizon. Blurr's fast talking cut through her thoughts, effectively eliminating chances of peace or quiet.
