In the meantime, your body is in a state where it rests. It will not respond to anything. You stab a limb, it will not bleed, the brain will not register the pain until after you wake up."

"... so the gash on his back and the cut on his arm won't hurt him until he wakes up?" he asked, pointing to the wounds caused from his mental fight with the madness.

"Basically, yes." She tore off a few pieces of fabric from the bottom of her dress, which didn't change the length of the dress at all, and she started wrapping them around his arm. "Our friend here is in for a lot of pain if he wakes up."

"well if we change that bloody water for his rose it might help him heal faster ... but for some reason the plumbing stopped working, which is why i had gone off ... i was trying to fix it before you came to get me."

"I'll get the animals to take care of it." She replied quickly, barely casting a glance over her shoulder to look at him. She seriously didn't like him. He made her feel stupid and idiotic, and he made Garry feel horrible. He annoyed her.

Garry began to wake up in his head, still just floating around on the broken piece of floor ... he cringed from the pain of his wounds and looked around ... he saw to paths ... one that looked like it was made of red dust, and the other made of purple mist. He looked back and forth between the two paths, unsure of which was the right one.

"Ahhh... He's at the two paths. He must choose wisely." She stood, dusting herself off. "When he wakes, he needs to drink plenty of water, and needs to sleep a lot." She picked up the vase and took out the rose. A few birds flew in she handed the vase to them. "Only the purest water. The creek running through my home will do just fine." The birds chirped and flew off.

He looked at the two path's, not trusting either of them. He then heard a soft voice in the back of his mind and looked behind him, soon seeing a path made of blue smoke and a few scattered rose petals. He had a feeling deep down inside that this was the path to follow, so he weakly got up and hesitantly put his foot down on the blue path ... he didn't fall through. He put his other foot on it, looking behind him to see the broken piece of floor and the other path's had disappeared ... there was no turning back now. He took in a deep breath and soon faced forward, walking down the blue smoke path as blue rose petal's gently fluttered up, then back down again as he walked.

"He has chosen." She breathed, closing her eyes in relief. "He should be awake soon. The birds will bring the vase back soon." She handed the rose to Blood. "When he awakens, he knows where to find me. If he still wants to be friends." She stood. "Oh. And tell him the pain in his jaw is from me."

He looked at her, a bit confused. "wait ... why would his jaw hurt because of you?" he asked.
