She opened her eyes and looked across the surface of the water, then she looked down toward her missing leg. She wondered if her little surprise was still alright, even after all that battering around and blood loss. She hadn't told TJ yet, but she was pretty sure that what she thought she had was a reality and not a hallucination.

[Quitting :I]

TJ appeared out of the water not long after, although he was on the other side of the hot spring. He wiped water out of his eyes, then slid down the side of the rock he was against so only his eyes and up were above the water, along with the tops of his wings. He closed his eyes after a moment, letting himself relax. There was no more danger at the moment. He saw Dusk through the steam of the hot spring and smiled a little bit before dissapearing underwater completely. He swam down deep before coming back up not far from Dusk. He shook his head, spattering droplets of water everywhere. "You know, I really don't care whether you're trying to enjoy the hot springs or not." He told her, coming a bit closer before settling down next to her.

She looked over to him and narrowed her eyes a bit. That's when she stopped and looked away, realizing even the hotspring might hurt her little secret. She climbed out as best as she could from the hot springs and shivered when the cold air hit her bare body. She was on her hand and knee as she tried to pull her tattered dress and garments back on. "whatever ... i don't like the hot spring anymore anyway." she muttered softly to herself before resting against the rock again, the stone being cool from the cold air.

Fraxinea held her violin loosely in the left hand, fingering a few notes silently, not really playing. The notes were from a concerto by the composer Vivaldi, one of Grandfather's favourite ones. She shifted her balance, and ran her thumb loosely along the instrument's scroll.

TJ glanced up, watching her with an eyebrow raised when she got out. He sighed, letting himself slide down deeper into the water. Why was Dusk being so...erratic with her actions? He let out a long breath, sending bubbles to the surface before he straightened and went back over to the place he'd left his pants. He got out of the water, then pulled his pants on, which were, surprisingly, rather dry by now. He walked over to Dusk and sat down next to her. "You're avoiding me, Dusk...Why?" He asked in a quiet voice, touching a hand to her own smaller, softer hand.

Joker was doing a few cartwheel's as he went down a forest path, humming softly to a song he often danced too for shows.


She looked away from him, trying to keep her expression leveled. "im not trying to avoid you per-say ... im just trying to avoid anything that will aggravate my leg or cause infection ... and when your around, i often find myself having to be even MORE careful because you might get hurt too ..." she replied.

Fraxinea heard footsteps- and humming? She quickly latched her instrument into its case and stood up straight. If it was humming, it probably wasn't dangerous. Probably.

TJ's expression softened a bit. "Dusk, you don't have to worry about me. I don't care if I get hurt." He told her. "But I can understand not wanting to have anymore pain than you already do. I want to give you as much comfort as possible while you heal up." He told her. "If that means staying away, though, I can do that. I won't like it, but I would do it for you." He said in a soft purr of a voice. "Just give the word, my love. I am at your beck and call." He whispered.

"alright then ... i order you to stop being such a pri$$y and be a man!" she replied. "I need a man who can stand up for himself against a stubborn girl like me ... if you can't even do that, how is our-" she stopped mid sentance, realizing she almost gave away her secret. '... never mind ... just don't get caught up in being too lovey dovey and i'll be fine ... since im still new to this injury it'll take some time before i can fight on my own again." [yes, i meant to say prissy with an I - and it basically just means; being too lighthearted and oblivious]

TJ raised an eyebrow as she suddenly cut off, but he nodded. "Of course." He told her. "And I certainly can stand up against you, Dusk, do not doubt that." He stood up after a moment, looking off into the forest before he walked away. "I'll be back." He called before dissapearing into the surrounding forest. He sniffed at the air, then his tongue flicked out. After a moment, there was a loud screech from the sky, like a huge bird bearing down on the forest. TJ grinned, fangs flashing, before he changed forms. A loud growl ripped from his throat, as if in reply to the bird. He could see it, the checkered pattern on its wings and tail, the red and white plumage on its chest. The JubJub bird. It flew right over him though, heading in the direction of the hot spring. 'Crap...Can't I get peace anywhere? He thought in irritation before heading off in the same direction as the bird. Perhaps the bird was just going to enjoy the hot spring as well, although that seemed very unlikely. Either way, he was either going to drive it off or take pleasure in killing it.
