Derrin turned to Cole, still heading towards the forest.
"You don't trust me, do you?" he said with a sigh. He didn't blame her. He wasn't the most trustworthy looking person, which was greatly magnified by the fact that his fur was matted with a gruesome mix of blood and mud.
He didn't trust others either, but for a whole different reason... Preferring not to dwell on his painful past, he switched his thoughts to his feet. Left, right, left right... Thud, thud, thud, thud. Dirt and dust from the bricks gathered in small clouds around them.

Cole flinched "I-I'm sorry.." she murmured and looked at the ground in embarrassment "I do..I just.." she stopped talking and sighed. She looked up at the forest "What exactly are we going to do in there?" she asked. Cole cursed suddenly as she tripped up over a rock and grabbed onto Derrin's arm for balance.

Nick shrugged. "Move rocks, basically," he said with a grin as he freed one leg.

The she-wolf cleared the rubble and turned to the other Lycan, estimating his own condition. She then pushed herself back into a standing condition, wincing as her body pressed down on her injured paw. Kirara took her crutch from Jendreth and frowned. "I think I prefer staying upright. As much as I love being a wolf, the humanity and being bipedal have their benefits- I can keep a better look out when my nose isn't dragging in the dirt." She hobbled forward. "I'm slightly less short at the very least, and I seem to have developed a Napoleon complex."

Kirara glanced around, eying the woods. Though her instincts were screaming for her to head toward safety, their was also another equal pull. The idea of a small group of survivors, a pack, kept her. "I'm not young enough to be outright dumb even if I'm still careless from time to time. I know exactly what would happen if we split up. I'm still dead weight in a fight and at the moment, useless. All it would take to kill me right now would be a half-dead leech or even an experienced human to finish me off. I'm tired, weak, and I just lost everything. I wouldn't go too far from you. Besides, I seem to be in need of an Alpha. And quite frankly, I'm not looking to become one myself, Mr. Leader," she finished.

Derrin shook his head.
"Don't be," he said. "I don't really care either way." He didn't want to sound mean, but it was the truth. At least he was leading her to safety...well, where he thought it was safe. He was about to reply to her question when she tripped and steadied herself using her arm. He hadn't seen it coming, so he jumped slightly.
"Whoah there. Don't get yourself too beat up, or else I'll have to carry you, and I doubt either of us will enjoy that."
A hint of a smile sparkled in his eyes.

Kalyna took a step back when Shandi screamed. Her stomach flipped and she resisted the urge to be sick. Her ear's rang with the sounds even if it was over. She went to grab another rock but Necro stopped her. She flicked her ear in anoyance and looked at him. She listend to him anyways, though at the mention of her mother she resist the urge to cry. "My mothers dead!" She retorted choking on her words. She turned her back on him She balled her fist gritting her teeth befofre grabbing another rock almost as big as her and rolling it away. She tried to calm herself down by saying "Atleast he tried..." But it didn't work it just made her angrier.

Lucien kept walking over the rubble, trying to take the most easy and painless path. When the trees started appearing around him the wolf seemed a bit less ambitious to keep walking. And this lack of ambition caused him to collapse by a tree, his back legs sprawled out limply behind him. This time he at least sat up a bit, not looking completely dead.

Jendreth knew that feeling, he hadn't gone on all fours but to run when he heard Shandi's cry for help and even then his arm gave out and he had opted for walking upright. But he thought it differently he did not like being a wolf retaining its humanity, he wished to be one or the other not both, uncertainty about ones self as a leader ruined the image of what an Alpha should stand for... they were supposed to hold the appearance of being 'Larger then life'.
No Alpha was uncertain and yet he had always been, thinking of his own flaws, how could he care for others when he did not care to even be himself?

Snapping out of his trance like state he only barely caught her comparrison to someone named Napoleon before she spoke to him seriously about how she felt, he wished he had that courage to speak of his own missgivings and feelings. 'Larger then life...' He thought bitterly.
"You are injured." Dreth stated softly "Noble human and Vampire alike fear the woods, we out number them there, it is only on the open grounds where there are no trees to hide behind that the cowards would dare face us." Having been a very tactile man, well when he was a man, Dreth often reasured his kin with touch as he did so now. He placed his paw onto her shoulder an gave it a slight squeeze, some of his former self showing through the depression "I'm sure there are others in the woods, it is probably more dangerous here... but if you wish to follow I cannot stop you," with a slight grin he added "Oh and don't ever call me 'Mr. Leader' again."

Shandi watched the slight altercation between the pup and... well it would be correct to say he was, in a way also, a pup. Having been a medicine lycan for most of her life she could tell a newly turned human, his musculature was still as of yet underdeveloped and his movements where too quick and clumsy, it amazed her that he was still alive.
Now that her legs were mostly free she waited for her knee joint to recreate the needed amount of cartilage before bending it up and out of the rubble 'One down, one to go.' she thought triumphantly.
With one hand supporting her against the pile while Nick worked on freeing her trapped ankle she held out one hand to the pup "Come here child." she commanded softly.
Looking above the pup she nodded to Necro "Since you seem to be unharmed and unneeded go try and find other survivors and take them to the woods." her voice held an aurua of command that seemed to snap something in Necro and he obeyed with a small growl of outrage.

'I just tried to help her and all I get is a "You are unneeded go find some other people" bit! Ungrateful female with her beastly charge!' Necro spat at the ground with a snarl and stomped his way through the rubble towards the forest, little did he know that dwelling on his hateful thoughts stirred his more beast like side into action. He found himself unconsiously lashing out at pieces of buildings he passed by, or kicking bodies so harshly that some limbs were severed, didn't matter lycan or vampire he lashed out at both.
'I'm just gunna leave, she can find the rest of her stinking kind on her own!' Laughing at this small amount of payback for the way she had spoken to him, Necro reverted to running on all fours across the vast plain towards the treeline.

Marca tagged along behind Lucien. Her eyes widened in alarm as she watching him fall, and she ran forward and knelt at his side. "What's wrong?" she asked, trying to help him sit up. She looked at his legs, limp and useless on the ground, and looked back at his face. "Is it your legs?" she questioned.
Matt looked a little surprised at how the she-wolf talked to the other wolf, but he lost that thought as Nick cried out in truimph. "Yes! Got it!" he said, pulling the last rock out and freeing Shandi. The twins high-fived, grinning ear to ear. They seemed to re-remember Shandi at the same time, and turned back to see if she needed any help up or if her legs were still bad. "Are you alright?" they asked at the same time.
