Jayna continued to read happily to him, the activity taking her back to when she and Quinton were young, before she'd learned they were only half-siblings and she was half-vampire, way before he'd up and vanished on her. She'd greatly missed those days and she was enjoying reading to Summer probably as much as he was enjoying being read to.
