Kyoukimi's head whipped round at the sound of Ryuzaki's scream and her reptilian purple eyes filled with something akin to hurt. She'd quite liked the girl, for even if she was human she shared mary similarities with Kyoukimi herself.
"Ryuzaki!" She yelled desperately, gazing after the winged wolf-girl as her mind struggled against her animalistic instincts. Should she follow the inconsequencial human girl, who, in another world, would probably have been a friend, or stay to try to kill the human who dared insult her?
The isocele on the end of her tail twitched, her pride and bloodlust battling her emotions. She'd never given up a hunt before: never failed to kill. Something ran down her scaled cheek, and the Black Dragon Fae, the deadly assassin of the Unseelie Court, realised that she was crying.
Dammit. She cursed, turning back to Chase, eyes narrowed to slits and fangs bared. "This... is not over." Her voice so full of venom even shadows cringed away.
Then, becoming humanoid once more, she spread her dragon wings and leapt from the roof of the shop, soaring after Ryuzaki.
...
A brillant flash of white almost blinded the dragon fae, so used to darkness, and she looked down to see another winged girl and Ryuzaki on the ground. She sent herself into a steep dive, landing heavily, as if she was full dragon, and raced over to the two.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" She yelped, her still entirely purple eyes hurt. "Ryuzaki?"
