Adrian cringed slightly when he felt her mind lash out at his. He soon regained his composure. He wasn't sure how many times he could recover that quickly. "I'm still not going to leave you here, Haven. I love you too much to let you go through this alone."

"Shayla and Tyler were supposed to be a couple. After she had promised me everything. She started ignoring him and paying attention to me when we returned to the house. He has hated me since then. Shayla never left my side those first weeks. Then she left and never came back. The older vampires all hated me and hurt me every chance they would get." Kyler stopped and looked at her.

"Adrian! I don't want to hurt you. I promise I will find you as soon as I am okay." Haven pleaded. She knew she had hurt him but couldn't stop the next attack. She moved away from him, attempting to lessen the pain.

Anna hugged him gently, "I'm sorry Kyler." she said softly.

Adrian sighed a little, finally giving in. "Fine," he muttered, giving Haven a last hug and kiss. "I won't be too far away. Either find me or talk to me through thought when you're feeling better." He slowly pulled away from her and headed out of the house and out into the woods. The house was still in sight, but he still felt rather empty inside without Haven at his side.

"It's over now." Kyler told her.

Haven sighed with relief and crawled onto the bed. She lay there for what seemed like hours when the pain finally left. She sat up and searched for Adrian's mind. She found it and smiled, Adrian?

'Yes?' Adrian was sitting up in a tree, staring at the branch of another. He had been sitting rather still for the past few moments. 'Are you feeling better?'

Kyler kissed her and held her close to him.

A lot. WIll you come back now?' Haven asked. She was pretty sure she already knew the answer but she asked anyway.
