Matthew landed at the lake, putting away his wings. He walked a few feet, scanning the surrounding area. "I dont se any sign of them." he said, now returning to a slightly better mood. He walked to the shoreline and took off his shoes and socks, rolling up his pant legs. Matt stuck his feet into the cool water and began to swish them back and forth.

"Where do you think they could be?'' she asked walking over and sitting down next to him, moving her legs opposite of him keeping them on shore. She folded her wings back and looked into the water, trying to think of where they would go.

"I do not know.." he sighed, using his soft gentelmanly voice. "They could be anywhere. It is unlike them to just run off, isnt it?" he asked, turning to glane at her for a moment.

Drake shook his head. "No, I just wanted to talk to you, and I want to stay as far away from him as possible. Look, I just wanted to fly and was wondering if you wanted to race. Nothing more, nothing less. Matt can do whatever he wants." Drake finished his sentence, and took a breath in. "So? Wanna fly with me?"

Alcia tried to hide a smile but it broke through. "Impressive speech," she said and tensed her wings. "But are your wings as fast as your mouth?" she asked and shot off over to a tree aways away. "Come on slowpoke!" she said with a smile.

"They were supposed to be on watch...." she said glancing over at him, then looking back in the water. "They should have been easy to find, or at least close by...'' she said before thinking it over for a moment, "You dont think they're hurt do you?" she asked remembering the traps.

Alcia sat on a branch and 'preened' her wings.

Felicity smiled sadly looking at the small minnows in the water. "Maybe..." She turned towards him, "I thought you knew eachother before the splicing... So I assumed you had fallen in love with her, and she in love with you." She began to trace pictures in the sand.
"I wouldn't know what love is though... I wasn't a 'popular' girl." She wiped a tear from her eye. "I've never had a boyfriend." Felicity said standing. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. She thought sternly to herself. "I'm sorry." She began to walk off...

"Felicity, wait!" Tristan called. He walked over and grabbed her arm. Immediately, he dropped it and stared at the sand. "I have feelings for someone... but I've been waiting to see what will become of it."

Drake flew up to Alcia and stopped, panting . "That...was...close." he almost doubled over. She had got him racing faster than he'd raced before. "Good...race.." he panted weakly and stuck out his hand. But no mistake, he would beat her next time...

Alcia laughed and held him up. "Easy there." she said and smiled up at him. 'He his pretty fast, and good looking...' she thought to herself. "Just don't pass out and fall alright?" she said with a twinkling in her eyes.

Drake looked at Alcia. "I'm ok... just lost my breath there for a second." he half smiled at her. She was one of the only people who could beat him in a race, he liked that. Drake pulled himself up on the branch beside Alcia, still breathing hard. "I will beat you next time though."
