The guards let Giovanni in, deciding that he wouldn't cause too much trouble. He bowed slightly and made his way to the keep. He looked around, making sure no one would see him enter. Giovanni slipped in unnoticed, listening for voices.

Will watched the foriegner go into the castle, and he pulled his cowl down deeper over his eyes.
"Refill my coffee cup please," He told Horace, handing him his cup.
Moving over to the tower where the Baron's office was, he started to shimmy up the tower with his grappling hook. Slipping into the office, he stood in a corner, watching the Baron.

Horace drank the rest of his coffee, watching the Ranger slip into the shadows.
"Show off," He grumbled, and started for the castle.

Alice sighed and stepped back, as the wards were called in. She would be last in line, as she was the smallest of the wards.

Giovanni pressed into the shadows, slipping into the second room unnoticed. This was where he was most at home, he realized. Not slinking through the forests. He saw a large, important-looking man seated at a desk. Importance must be equivalent to size here, he thought. He hadn't seen anything to prove that wrong. Yet. He was dully aware of another presence, but he wrote it off as a guard. Back home, guards were hidden everywhere. Why should it be different here?
He looked up as the door opened and a group of children filed in. Children?

: Alice :
The girl looked around carefully, and saw the forienger. She opened her mouth to say something, and then grew silent as one of the other wards jabbed her sharply in the ribs. She glanced over and glared at the boy;she said nothing.

Giovanni glared at the girl, moving deeper into the shadows so he remained unseen. Attentive, he thought. She would have been a good assassin.

Will watched as the Barons filed into the room, with Horace and Alyss at the end of the group. He stayed were he was, and continued to watch the foreigner.

Rodney stood in at the front of the amazingly short line, and he shuddered nervously. He wanted to be the first male Courier, and it would be hard.

The small girl continued to stare at the forienger with a frown. He shouldn't be here, she thought to herself, with a glance around the room. The apprentice masters were here. The ceremony would begin soon...

Giovanni made his way toward the other presence, now wondering whether or not he was a guard. He could feel the girls eyes on him as he moved. The girl was obviously very attentive. For the second time he found himself wishing she had been born in his hometown.

Very slowly, as not to be seen, she slid her foot out, just so she could trip him and he wouldn't see it coming, maybe then they would see she wasn't as crazy as they thought, and she was good for something.
