Gabriel glanced at Si before turning to Chris and watching him cautiously. Chris had always been too reckless when it came to humans. If the humans worked out what they were and escaped the forest before they could catch them then it would all be over. He glared at Chris and indicated for him to stay there, do nothing.

Duran swerved briefly, thinking he'd heard something. However, he turned back and began walking with the group again. He put it down to paranoia.

Si could tell what Gabriel was thinking. He was thinking that if the humans found out who they were, it would be over. His body language gave it away. He stared at Chris for starters, and he was tense and stiller than he had ever been before. She silently agreed with him, and hated herself for it.

Christopher sighed softly and adjusted himself on the branch. He nodded towards Evangeline, then mouthed "I call this one". He kept himself from laughing, then smiled towards Si.

Si pointed to Duran, meaning she'd go for the chase, and the kill. The others could feed on him if they wanted. She hated feeding on humans, she enjoyed luring them and killing them, but not feeding. She was the one who lured the people who wandered into the forest towards the others' ambush. It was fun, seeing their amazement. They all recognised her of course. She had lived in the town near by, and she could tell that the four in the forest were once her friends. She hated humans because of why she got turned into a vampire, and it wasn't a happy tale.
