Wynne struggled to get himself back onto the Estreilioa's back, with the help of the chittering Epei. As he sat down, clutching the eagle's feathers, he saw something fly towards him. He reached out a hand and grasped it, his dagger. It was glowing; almost time to return the orb. Down! Go to the cave! He directed to Estrei through his mind, and she followed without hesitation. She landed gracefully, let him off, and waited. "Go, Estreilioa! Thank you!" He shouted above the sounds of battle. He looked up and saw Alkia. He nodded, and ran into the cave, following Lark.
Larkekio, once inside the cave, changed his form back into human. He looked around. Alkia seemed to be taking care of Wynne, so he had nothing to lose. With the Mountain Elf, his arch enemy, gone; Lark could return the orb to the dragon keep. "STOP!" He spun around. Wynne was standing in the mouth of the cave, panting and with a glowing dagger in his right hand. Lark shook his head. "She let you go? I guess I will have to deal with her later..." He trailed off, but saw Wynne had just ... disappeared. He started walking again, but felt the knife on his neck. "I can't do this alone." Whispered Wynne. "I need you alive, so don't do anything stupid." He shoved Lark forward, losing his grip for a moment, and in that quick second, Lark had drawn his sword.
