Larkekio glanced back at Alkia, and raised his eyebrow. Or rather, where his eyebrow should have been. He shrugged, flying deeper into the clouds and towards the mountains.

Wynnechester yelled in frustration. "I'LL FIND YOU!" He yelled into the sky, as Epei scurried back and forth around the wall of flames. Wynne sat down defeated, and brooding over the fact that she had his prized dagger. He considered it a promise, that he would not stop until he got it back.

Akia shook Wynne out of her mind. No, do not think about him. What would you do if you were him. she though to herself. She examined the dagger a little more. This one, of all his daggers he's used or had! It had to be this one! she though to herself.

Jesse sighed, feelign the weight of the dagger in her hand. She stroked Alkia's white feathers, letting it clear her thoughts.She cropped the dagger into her satchle that held her arows. She watched the surrounding area about them, clouds. They seemed to get darker and thicker as they neared the mountains.

A light rain began as they flew over where the foothills became small mountains. A line of very dark clouds was ahead. Alkia looked back. A thin line of smoke could b seen. The flames should be low now she though. The flames had begun to lower around wynne. They stopped as the light rain began.

Wynne stared into the sky as it began to rain, his hair sticking to his face. Epei let out a shriek when she was getting wet, and scurried into Wynne's shirt, nestling into a tiny ball. Wynne sighed, standing up. The light rain had quickly turned to a down-pour, and Wynne, being used to the cold, was suffering no side effects of being wet in the foothills. He muttered to himself as he started up the mountains in the direction that Lark had flown. "A long way to go..." He sighed, guessing that they were going to the dragon caves in the farthest reaches, on snow covered mountains that humans dared not go.

The ran had begun to thicken and Alkia had settled between Lark's horns. "Lark I see a den." She said a littel louder than usual to be heard over the wind that had picked up.

Larkekio nodded, noticing that his movement sent Alkia scrambling to hold on to his shiny scales, now glinting in the rain. He swooped around the tallest mountain peak in the area, the wind now carrying the freezing rain accross their faces, like tiny needles. One pierced his eye and he groaned, but continued on. The ice and snow-capped mountains looked ominous. They had made it; to the dragon lands. Lark landed on a tall peak, letting his passengers get off, careful not to dump them plummeting into a deep canyon, ice sticking up like spears, ready to impale anyone who fell. He shook, sending ice flying. He was wary, knowing that dragons were hiding somewhere, watching. Not daring to let himself be unguarded by changing into a human, Lark remained in dragon form. Okay, you guys, follow me. But BE CAREFUL. He warned, leading the way to a dark cave.

Wynne staggered along the snowy mountains. He was growing increasingly weary and unsettled. He was beginning to get cold, but, because of his origins, was not too terribly cold. His stomach was growling constantly, and his throat was parched. He would stop every now and then, letting Epei get out, and pick up some snow to eat. Soon, though, there was nothing but ice. And ice was slippery. "Aaaaack. Aaaaack." Wynne stopped. The sound was coming from around the corner. He carefully picked his way among the slick ice and gasped at what he saw. Eagles! But not just eagles; these beast were huge. One of them cocked its head at Wynne. It emitted a sharp cawing sound again. "You made it!" He heard it say in his mind. "Made it where?" He asked, puzzled that they could talk and know who he was. "No time. We must hurry. They have the orb." It beckoned for Wynne to hop on his back. He did so, but cautiously. As soon as he was on and holding on to a tuft of feathers on it neck, they were off. "AHHH!" He screamed, the eagle swooping down suddenly. Soon they leveled out, high above the clouds and snow. "My name is Etreilioa (EE-TRAY-LEE-OH-UH)." H- She said.

Alkia settled on a branch with stlagmite and tucked her beack under her wing. Not really ever sleeping, she would wait for to Jessey and Lark to fall into sleep she would go and find Wynne.

[Masq]

Larkekio motioned for Jesse to come over to him. "Come on it's getting dark, we should get in there." He said, pointing to the cave with his tail.

Wynne and Estreilioa circled above the Dragon Mountains, looking. "There!" Estreilioa screeched in his mind. He looked but could not see through the fog. He shrugged, letting her do the flying. She swooped down. He could see the large silver dragon, the elf, and Alkia. He glared at her form. Suddenly, Estreilioa screeched and a massive force rammed into them, sending Wynne falling. Estrei, clutching Wynne in her talons, struggled to get away from whatever attacked them. He looked behind a saw a large amber eye staring at him. It was a dragon.
