"All right, then." Tabi said, mostly to herself. "Guess she didn't hear me. I go check out the cafe on my own then." She breezed through the halls, ducking around more new students with huge suitcases. When she reached the cafeteria, she was delighted again at the school's design. Everything was so neat and elegant! I might like it here after all... She thought to herself. She sat down at a table for a moment to admire the artistic vase and delicate flowers in it. Tabitha glanced at the menu, feeling like she was a restaurant back home. Deciding on a chicken caesar salad, a side dish of fruit and a glass of iced tea, she went up and retrieved her meal. Tabi sat back down at the same table and ate while alternating between reading and people-watching. It's not bad here, She thought. There's nothing to be afraid of. Everyone seems nice, if not a little cold or distracted.
I have my mother’s dreams,
I have my father’s eyes.
You can’t take that from me.
Just go ahead and try.
The Crescent City sleeps
while giants in the sky
preparing to unleash,
let loose a mighty cry.
Can nobody save us?
Will anyone try?
Pyre is burning,
the severance in tight.
And all along, they’re saying:
Help is on the way
(they said, they said)
Help is on the way.
They never came.
