Ari clearly had no idea just how much pain he was causing Wren. 'Mere flesh wounds' hurt a few hundred times less then anything that reach the muscle, let alone the bone, which Ari's claws were currently doing. The blood flow was thick, already trailing down his arms, and pooling by Wren's limp hands. If he could, move would be dead. But given he couldn't get his arms to so much as twitch and the pain was making him light-headed. But Wren had gone through much more agony then just about anyone his age or older, and while the average person would probably he passing out, he managed another snarled, and very pained, answer. "Oh? Then what do you think I should do? I told you, his reflexes are normal, that's why he swallowed in the end. I wouldn't have let it kill him even if he didn't. Would you rather have him be dazed like this and die in a few weeks? Killing me will do that." Wren had paused a few times as he spoke to take a heavy, strained breath, trying to keep himself from snapping. He had to get those claws out. And his angered self, more so then he already was anyways, would prevent that from happening. His wish was granted when Ari ripped the first hand out, which made Wren yelp again, this time the tone obviously pained and tiring. A sixteen year old's body couldn't keep up with lack of sleep, lack of blood, and severe pain for long, Lithius or not. He barely managed to answer, gaze quickly blurring as the pain worked it's way towards shutting down his mind. "Next time, I will be more careful and kill you before you can so much as blink." And that was the honest truth. Wren couldn't have hated Ari more right then. Yes, the boy had just been defending his love, someone Wren cared about as well, but agony wiped all of that into irrelevance. The new of feeling the touch on his face, coated in hois own blood, was maddening. There would be time to ponder the justification later. Somehow making it that he didn't make a sound as Ari pulled out his other hand, other then a slight shutter, Wren added no further comment as he was throw against the back of the couch. And what was he supposed to do, catch himself with arms that weren't moving? Slumping to half-lie down on it, blood smearing impressively, Wrne let out a silent gasp. Blood flow was faster with the gouges now open, and blindingly painful, with the addition of the tear left from Ari ripping his claws out. Vision quickly blurring over, his gaze settled on his limp arm that lay next to him, the other twisted underneath him, a horrifying realization coming to mind. Ari might have torn the nerves. Which meant they would never move again. Which meant quickly approaching death. Taking a slow, labored breath, he focused his mind on moving the fingers. To his relief, they twitched. So at least that arm wasn't maimed. There would be time to test the other... later. When he could feel it a bit better.
Right about then, Skye looked up, gaze resting on the puddle of blood forming around Wren's head and shoulders. Ari looking at him didn't matter, that image bring back yet another flashback of sorts. Eyes widening in shock, he rose slowly, unsurely walking to injured boy's side, disregarding Ari. His face became confused, and horrified. This was a boy he actually cared about, in more then a little pain. Wren had saved his life several times over and the reverse, so those memories overpowered the event that had occurred just a minute or two earlier. Admittedly, Skye stayed a few inches away, but his face was shocked and saddened, reaching out to gently trace on the bleeding Mark's on his arm. Wren didn't react, having long since snapped his eyes shut, teeth gritted together, in a vain attempt to try to drown out the pain. Turning to Ari, face confused and almost questioning, trying to ask how that had happened. He couldn't quite piece together that Ari was the one who had done that, thankfully for Ari's life.
