Wren grimaced as Ari laughed, his hand still on his hurting cheek. Even when not trying, Skye was strong, and the blow hurt. Already the skin was beginning to turn black and purple, forming a large and impressive bruise. The urge to hit Skye back was incredible, just because of instinct. Naturally, he didn't, knowing it wasn't the young boy's fault. Still... he wanted too. Like previously said, it was instinct for both of them, and it was hard not to want to send Skye flying. "Note to self: even like this he reacts normally. Joy." Wren muttered more to himself then Ari, yawning for a third time. Damn. Forty hours without sleep was making it hard to think straight. As someone said in some paper, after thirty-five hours of no sleep, every hours was like getting more and more drunk. And it had been nicely longer then that for Wren, who was beginning to see the point of that paper. Still, he had to get the next batch of meds into Skye before he could catch a few hours of sleep at last. "Good to hear. I need sleep. Try to calm him or something, cause I'm about to traumatize him again." With that, Wren made himself stand, and exit the room. Skye's gaze followed him, but made no move to get up, before looking up at Ari in confusion. Headache+unexplained violent reaction+Wren vanishing+just about everything=confusion. "Why...?" Was all he said, no indication of what he was trying to ask. Skye could have meant just about anything, as he failed to understand everything that occurred. The dazed boy wasn't really expecting an answer, so as usual his face quickly blanked as he settled back into the void. In the other room, Wren was attempting to read the labels on the various medicine bottles, which for right then might as well have been in Spanish. He never really learned to read very well either, having ended schooling once bitten. Groaning, he grabbed the ones he knew he would need, and a small water bottle. Draining the bottle, he put in a few tablespoons of a liquid medicine, and two pills. Looking at the concoction with a sick expression, no clue at all as to how he would get Skye to drink that, he hastily shoved it into a pocket. Grabbing the label off one of the bottles and holding it tightly in a hand, he reappeared into the room where Ari and Skye were, walking right up to Ari with an annoyed huff. Holding out the label, making sure his voice had no tone, he flatly asked: "what does that say?" He knew it was something about age and how many of the pills should be taken for children of what ages, etc. He did need Ari to check, as he did not want to overdose the young boy. But it was written in what Wren called 'higher English', meaning medical, and Wren had not gone to enough school to be able to read that, even if he wasn't as tired as he was. So sadly it was up to Ari to tell him.
