The vet looked up as she was called over the speaker and sighed. Heading towards the main ring, she looked around and saw Take. "Hey Miss Maze," she said, greeting the rider.

Jacob nodded at Anna and untacked Take. Take looked at the vet and pinned his ears back in warning. "easy boy." Jacob said petting Take's neck.

The vet waited silently watching Take. "I had more troubling horses in my life," she said, winking at Anna. "I'm not going to hurt you," Dr. Resse muttred.

(Still random, just easier for me to say who it is)

"hi." Jacob said at the vet. Take nipped at the vet then tried to get up. "no boy stay down easy, easy." Jacob said pushing Take's neck down.

Dr. Resse sighed as Take tried to bit her. "I know he's in pain,' she mumbled. "Can you restrain him anyway?" she asked, running a train eye down his leg.

"I'll try." Jacob answered taking the lead and pulling it down. "easy boy." Take laid his head down and closed his eyes. "good boy easy." Jacob said soothing him.

Dr. Resse nodded and went over to the injured leg. "Easy boy," she murmured, kneeling in the ring. Feeling along the leg, she noticed it was slightly bowed. "I think he might have a bowed tendon," she finally said,looking at Jake. "He might be able to compete again, but not at the same level as he did," she told Anna and Jake. "It's a server one, that's for sure," she said, standing up.

Jacob nodded and stood up. "good boy." he said. he was silent a minute before saying. "is there anything you can do for him for the pain?" he asked the vet.
Take twitched and opened his eyes.
