Aldan opened up the letter with one hand, reading it. Odd, a secret admirer? What had he ever done to admire? He tucked the note away, flinching at a sharpness in his wrist.

Ayan walks out of the school,and turns into a hummingbird.She sits on the window-sill at the hospital wing,and waits for Aldan to leave.

"There you are, deary," the healer smiled as Aldan got up. "Just be careful with it," she warned.

Aldan nodded his thanks, then started back to his dorm

Ayan flashes down,to the courtyard,and turns human.She sits on one of the ledges,hoping,that Aldan would see her,and stop to chat.

Aldan passed by Ayan easily on his way to the Slytherin common room. He pulled his hair out of its usual ponytail, enjoying the slight relief from his now-pounding headache.

Ayan sits silently.She whispers a poem under her breath,all about the moon,and the sea.About their forbidden love.

Aldan found his way out of the courtyard, cold eyes peering around each passage. He felt almost hyperaware of the note in his pocket, like it was burning him. He couldn't think of anyone he'd been particularly kind to, nor anything he'd done to lead anyone to think well of him.

Ayan listens as he leaves,whispersing now,about autumn leaves falling,and the dark-side of the moon.About why the Sea was sad,when the moon disappears.

Aldan found his way to the dungeon, getting into the Slytherin common room. He set the box of chocolates down, taking a seat by the fire.
