Rai frowned slightly when he heard the angry tone in Starlit's voice. "Star, there's always a safe haven. We just haven't found it yet." He reached over and grasped her hand gently. "It'll all be over soon. There won't be any more dragons or even Damon when we figure out his one weakness."

"That won't happen." She said, looking up at him with stubborn eyes, "There are so many ways to kill something, and by the time we find that one thing I know that more than half of us will be dead already." She glanced away, he eyes watering, "Besides, someone, something is trying to tell someone that I should be dead and if it weren't for our powers then I would be long gone, trust me. I've escaped death more than the two times since you've met me." Star bit her lip, fighting back tears now, "And Zoey seems to like you alot too. I'm meant to die, Rai. And... I know that I should have accepted death before this, I just thought that maybe it would end one day but obviously not. Everyone around me is always in trouble, fighting for life or trying to be free from something. Now I'm going to end up hurting you when I die, and... I'm so sorry."

"Wait...What?" Rai almost couldn't comprehend what he was hearing. He just ended up holding her hand tighter and hugging her close once more. "I'm not ready to see you go again, Star," he whispered under his breath. "You're not meant to die..."

Dalveron looked down, he didn't want to say anything. He thought about that one thing. He thought and thought and then it came to him. "I think i might know what that one thing is." He exclaimed. "Remember when me and Zoey broght you back to life? and a while ago Gnarus talked about that there where three of are crystals? I think that that might be the key! But so fare we only have two, One of the Vampires, Mine, One of the Werewolves, and then there must be one from the Witch but we haven't found one yet." He replied, a little out of breath.

Starlit didn't care. She looked back up at Rai, "No, Rai... I can't deal anymore! I can't go on, acting like I'm happy and that I'm so excited when we escape from the dragons! On the inside I want them to get to the point and kill me for good because I know that it's just going to happen again." Starlit looked up at him with hurt eyes, ready to start sobbing. She loved him so much but Starlit didn't know where to go, what to do... Starlit gently and reluctantly pulled from his grasp, "I can't hurt you anymore..."

Rai frowned slightly when she pulled away from his grasp. "Star..." He sighed a little, unsure of what to say to change her mind about it. "Your death would hurt me more than ever, Star. Especially knowing that we can't bring you back." He watched her for a moment before dropping his gaze to the ground.

Star smiled sadly, "No... Zoey likes you, she won't hurt you. I love you Rai." She murmered, thinking how absolutley perfect he was, but she knew that as long as she was around him, she would hurt him. Starlit bit her lip as a tear rolled down her cheek and with that she turned around and ran through the forest, a fire igniting her path.

"Star," Rai mumbled under his breath as she raced off. He ended up running after her anyways. Following the trail of fire was rather easy for him to figure out where she went. If the fire went out, it left charred leaves behind.
