Selene smiled a bit and then seeing she showed an emotion she covered it with her usual emotionless look. She glanced at Xavier. "Your brother is an interesting person" Selene said "He can go from kind to mean, and from mean to kind" she said . "He reminds me of ice actually really, that and the moon" she said. "Ice can thaw or stay frozen. It can freeze or stay thawed like your brother" Selene told Laila "As to my moon comment you can figure that out by yourself I think?" she said questioningly.

The Vampress bared her fangs. " Wanna take the chance?" She asked threateningly.

Laila laughed. "Looks like you have a liking to my brother. And I don't understand what you mean by the moon," Laila said in a quiet voice so Xavier wouldn't hear. She has never seen her brother that way. Then again, he was her brother.

"Oh, I'm so scared. Why don't you just go back to your castle like a good little princess," Xavier said sarcastically.

Selene winced a bit "I believe it's more of an interest I've never really liked anyone" she said quietly "mostly for the other one's safety" she said. Then she looked at Laila "The moon can be cruel if you look at it like a person. It chooses to leave us but then returns happy and shining. It's a cruel thing to leave but a nice thing to come back" Selene said closing her eyes

"That's my brother. He can be a pain sometimes but he means well," Laila said. "Interest turns into liking at some point," she teased.

Selene stared at Laila for a moment "Perhaps your right but I have liked one other person before but when I like someone, I don't care if I'm happy. I would be happy if he ended up with the Vampress. But if the person I like is happy, I can be happy for them" Selene said frowning "Last time I was happy for them too" she said smiling slightly and wincing at the same time

The Vampress ignored him and looked over at the shadows. Mark? Still there? She narrowed her eyes and stared past him further into the shadows, noticing something moving.

"Xavier doesn't fall in love. He actually hasn't been happy since the incident,"Laila said with her voice quieting on the word 'incident'.

Xavier followed the Vampress' gaze. He saw something move but thought it was only a rat or something.
