Neil~
The incapactiated man grunted softly in some sort of reply, twisting the spoon in his hand. He let out an apathetic sigh and brought the metal to his mouth again. Possibly out of nervousness, or pure irritation, Neil began tapping the utensil to the fronts of each of his sharp teeth. He no longer had even the slightest glimmer of hope in his eyes. Really, they were just listless, bicolored disturbances in the dimly lit room, glaring soullessly at anyone who dared catch a glimpse of his face.
A friend. That little wench only wished that he thought of her as such. He didn't necessarily hate her, but Neil had no intentions of saving the girl if he did manage to escape this hellhole.
Far too much was on the crazed Magician's mind for him to think straight. And this guy was mentioning stress. The idiot must not have grasped the fact that Neil was stressed out as it was. So much so that he didn't care about the singular lives of others. Really, the man never cared about anyone but himself. But at the moment, he was managing to care even less.
He reclined slowly, sucking in a quick hiss as pressure was exerted on his left side, which happened to be the side that was injured. Neil couldn't even manage to stay furious anymore. Anger and sadness; two emotions that were consecutive, even for a madman. It just so happened that his "anger gauge" was empty. Moving on to the dismal phase.
The man just looked depressed. Of course, one couldn't feel too sorry for him, as there was no lucidity in his still-crazed gaze. He wouldn't hesitate in lashing out if someone tried anything stupid. Just because the man looked drained and sad didn't mean that he wasn't still dangerous.
But still... It had been a long time since Neil could remember a happy day.
Ezra~
Someone had been expecting Tessa? Ezra blinked and drew his threatening gaze away from the assumed-to-be-Magcian.
If Tessa was safe with someone else, the dark-cloaked man would be happy to leave her in their care. But not with this suspicious kid hanging around. At least until the boy lost interest, Ezra would stick around.
He reached to his shoulder to tap Leo on the muzzle, making a noise deep in his throat that quieted the creature instantly. As he moved his hand, though, a corner of his wrist was revealed beneath his black glove. There appeared to be dark lines cutting across the surface of his skin. Like markings... Or something.
Ezra didn't make a huge deal of recovering his hand, as to not draw unwanted attention from Tessa and the strange boy. But hopefully neither of the children had noticed.
Levi~
Levi nodded slowly, bringing the tongs into the flame. He must have had an odd sense or something, because he found the crucible rather quickly. The boy jumped as the instrument tapped the container. Obviously, even he hadn't expected to locate it as swiftly as he had.
Somehow, Levi hadn't managed to set any of his clothes on fire as he brought the crucible to the furnace edge. He was wearing an oversized cloak and a long, loose-sleeved shirt. Fire-hazard. The boy hadn't really thought of the danger, as he'd never reached into an open flame before. It may have helped that the fire was dying down to glowing embers. But it still wasn't all that safe.
Odd, really, how Levi had found a possible job so quickly. He didn't look like he was built for physical labor at all, yet this woman must have seen something in him. Something that even he couldn't see.
((Fffff. So much writing. And I'm considering adding yet another character. .3." Why do all of my characters happen to be male, anyway? I have this great idea for another male character... But. I. Need. A. Freaking. Female.))
(((EDIT: Whooooops~ :P Accepted. I'll add you now.)))
