Riku eyed Lucas for a moment. He'd honestly thought the surfer would trip him up, but maybe humans were more ignorant than he'd thought. He shrugged and continued to follow Lucas.

"So what does rain have to do with anything?" Lucas asked

Riku froze a moment, then continued walking. "Covers the sun...Washes away a lot of the pollution-y smells humans leave." He said, then his eyes widened at that last thing he'd said. He grit his teeth, hoping Lucas hadn't caught it.

"Humans?" He started cracking up. "So what are you, some kind of dog or something?"

"No." Riku forced out through his teeth. 'More like a fish...' He thought with a small smirk. He was totally botching this whole thing though. Somehow, if this kid figured out what he was, he'd have to get away. Hide, then get back into the water.

Lucas stopped smiling and kept walking.

Riku kept following, even more wary of the kid. Honestly, he was the weirdest human Riku had ever encountered. Of course, he hadn't met very many humans in the first place, he'd just seen them on the beach before.
