Risa had a split personality (Dissociative identity disorder) that she managed to overcome about six months ago. However, it may make a reoccurance once she becomes "herself" again. Risa is a combative, fiery girl, forced into this manner by the violence-centered environment she lived in, where you either become strong or get severely hurt. Being away from her former partner makes her rather unstable thanks to the DNA changes forced onto her- one moment she is polite, the next, she hates the world, but her body is getting used to it and this happens less every day. When feeling sad, angry, or just bored, she will go sit/sulk on the roof, or climb trees. She is hoping some of the academy buildings will have either butterfly or nearly-flat roofs. Risa used to be friendly and cheerful, and longer ago, even shy. Those traits are now only weakness to her.

Risa had a twin brother who was stillborn, which is why her mother gave her the middle name "Kagami". Shortly after she was born, her father disapeared, not to be seen again until she was 15. Risa was bullied as a child for her weaknesses by the rough city kids, and vowed to become a better fighter than they. From when she was six until about a year ago, when she left Rosetta Rose Academy,(more on that in a sec) she trained in the use of daggers and swords, (She was a failure in using swords since she was not very strong, nor was she forceful enough for the style taught) as well as archery and often fought with the street-boys for practice.
She then was accepted into the Rosetta Rose Academy, where she continued her training. She loved it there, but when her father cam back, he decided he no longer wanted his family to live in such a violence-terrorized city, and he took her away from the Academy. Risa was a fierce teen at the time, and though her mother welcome her father back, Risa hated him with all of her will. Now, living in a peaceful countryside, her family sent her to Westside where she hopefully would loose her fiery edge. After all, peace is no place for conflict.
