The Cat Did It wrote:Roz shrugged.
“Yeah.” She said. She hadn't really thought about it. When she'd joined up they'd asked if she'd wanted to do specialty training and she'd accepted. It had never really occurred to her that she was looked upon as different my the other soldiers.
“Yeah.” She said again. Then decided that she liked the look of Shilo enough to say something more.“I guess. It's not very, you know, sportman-ly, but it's still pretty awesome. ” Unconsciously, she reached a hand down to and began to stroke Pike again.
“Although sometimes I wish I were just normal. I had to take regular training in addition to my specialty training. My first week after joining up was hell. Pure hell.” Roz shuddered.
Shilo looked at her in a wide-eyed sort of way. He didn't even want to know about the training. From the look on Roz's face, it was as bad as she said it was. He was about to say something when he heard Lieutenant Rick yell for formation. He quickly lined up with Pike at his side.

Jay lowered to the ground and took a few steps forwards towards Rick Hanson in curiosity. Blue laid down once she figured out there was no way right then that she'd be able to meet the other dogs. "Jay" Mo said in a hushed voice. Jay lowered his head again but turned back to Mo and wondered back to her side. Mo glanced at Rick Hanson then at the privates, assassin and Corporeal.

Hush, Lager." he muttered, looking around. She growled, jumping around crazily. Tazz sighed, pulling out her ball and chucking it at her. "Oh....s***" he mumbled, eyes wide. The ball flew straight toward Lt. Hanson. Oh my Lord. I am dead. Doomed. Screwed. Hosed. he thought, watching Lager dart after her toy.
Rick looked at Mo with dissatisfaction glinting in his green-brown eyes. "You're late." he growled, "Get into formation." Louder, so the rest of the soldiers- there were about 20- could hear him, he yelled, "FOR-MAY-TION! C'MON MOVE IT!" He'd have to start without Lyra. Where was the General?
A few sleepy-eyed private scrambled to line up. But there seemed to be some kind of commotion in the back. Sergeant Maytaz's dog was jumping around like a lunatic. And then she hurtled towards straight at him like a runaway locomotive.
The ball hit him first, bouncing off his head. Everything seemed to go slow motion, yet terrifyingly fast at the same time. The morning must have slowed his reaction, because all he had time to do was take a step back and bar his chest with one arm.

She frowned deeper and aimed her gun back at him. She said,"I killer, you not. Watch self." She took a step back to avoid the dog biting her, never breaking eye contact with the American once. She snapped angrily,"Go back to base. Come back when have killer in eye." She soon calmed down and aimed her gun at the boy's forehead, just under his helmet.
Blitz's heart was beating like a schizophrenic metronome. He seemed deaf to Spirit's crazed barking and snarling.
He held his M16 completely still. He was going to spit out something along the lines of, 'Yeah right! You're coming back to base with me!' but no words came out. Blitz realized with a terrible sinking feeling that she was right. Did he really have the guts to shoot a girl in the face, with her brown eyes boring into his? Shooting targets at Basic Training were a wholly different things than a person. Even Charlie.
Oh, but her eyes glinted coldly. Blitz could see it in her face, she was dead serious. She would shoot him. She was going to shoot him. A live soldier is more useful than a dead one. Getting killed won't do anybody any good. Blitz reminded himself. And yet, he stayed rooted to the spot. Frozen.
He swallowed hard, "I'm not scared of you." Yeah, right, "I said it before. I'll s-shoot you."
