The LIEUTENANT WAS GETTING REALLY, REALLY FRUSTRATED NOW. SHE PULLED HER ZANPAKUTOU FROM THEIR SHEATHS, AND flash stepped forward, confusing the swarm of hollow the hollow that had been advancing her sluggishly. The tips of the blades skimmed the ground. "Partake," she muttered, "Kyu Ketsuki." She whipped around, only to be caught in the stomach by the enormous fist of a hollow. She flew backwards, and hit the slope that led down into the area where the hollow had gathered. She coughed (once she caught her breath) and clutched her midsection; she must have broken several ribs. She heard Sapphire yell somewhere in the distance, and watched in amazement as the Menos blew up. Then a small thud as Sapphire hit the ground. Oh, great. Not only had she totally outdone the lieutenant, she had to pass out, didn't she? Now who was gonna help her finish the remaining hollow? "What in Hell?" She yelled; that was a mistake. She felt another little surge of pain in her lungs, and coughed up some blood. Picking up the left half of Kyu Ketsuki, she scraped it off her chin. The blood ran into the canals cut into the flat of the blade, and places stained with the liquid produced an iridescent light. The pain subsided a bit. Rin looked up. The hollows had gotten really close—They were only standing about eight feet away now, and they could probably reach out six feet more. Rin quickly stood up, and lashed out with her zanpakutou. The hollows vanished one by one. A thin, vaguely humanoid individual held a spiny protrusion (its arm, Rin thought) in front of its face, protecting itself from her blow. The right sword gave off an eerie iridescent glow, and the hollow collapsed from fatigue, fading away a few seconds after. Rin, on the other hand, felt empowered. She came around in an almost leisurely fashion, chopping up hollows as she went. Her ribs had healed almost completely now, thanks to Kyu Ketsuki's "Life Drain". With every hollow she killed, she was stronger. By now, she had taken care of about 60% of all the hollow, and was decorated with a few gashes (which were healing already) to show for it. She took a few steps back; "Ikinone Hosu: Go Ken Ijo." She pictured Sapphire's face, and her own wounds no longer healed. What was the point, after all? She held the image of the third seat's face firmly in her mind, as she continued on her little rampage.
OOC: This post is fail. I can't write in the mornings. Anyways, she's all healed up, and trying to wake up Sapphire now.
