Lee turned his head slightly, spotting Sarah at the corner of his eye before turning his head back. He was walking just inside the beach when he found a good spot to sit on a rock.
He sat himself down and removed the partially unzipped bag from his shoulder. From inside, Humphrey poked his head out to peer out in curiosity.

Mike dashed ahead of her but then slowed down again. He could begin to see the end of the forest now.

Dusty fang disappeared as she looked at the guy sitting on the rock. "What the.." She said trying to see what was in the bag.

At the sight of their 'finish line' Sophie picked up speed until she was racing full speed to the forest edge.

Lee unzipped the bag fully, letting Humphrey scurry out. The large mottled gray rat scampered onto his lap and sat upright while cleaning his whiskers. Lee stroked the rodent's back while gazing towards the ocean and down the beach.
