Siena repeated her bird whistle, four notes, one medium, one high, another medium, and a low. "Safe?"
Nia glanced back and caught her gaze, but didn't return the call. Her meaning was clear- Not quite yet. The guard said again, "Travelers. We come from Gaipen, Earth. We've been moving about, helping rebuild the country wherever we are welcome. I-" He was cut of when her caught Nia staring at the boy from the corner of his eye. "Nia! It isn't nice to stare!" he chastised nodding in apology to the boy with the strange tattoos.
Impatient and seeing no reason to do otherwise, Siena walked up to the boy currently on his job as "captain" and asked him if they could take the boat into shore. When the boat was beached, Siena and three of the children stepped out and walked up the others.
"Is there a problem?" she asked lightly, though without much of an authoritative tone, and glanced between the two groups warily.
