He'd given her a scratch--a damned scratch! Audacious little vampire. He'd taken offense to her presence apparently, so she'd made sure he'd never make the mistake of attacking an older vampire again. Or anyone else for that matter. The lollipop she'd been babying all morning was now just a stick, but she persisted in chewing on it, despite all the weird looks the woman behind the desk kept giving her. Remembering that she was supposed to look younger for once, she smiled and presented the woman with a peace sign as she handed the signed documents over. The secretary grimaced over the papers; she was Jack's 'cousin,' sent to look after him, but she was still in school--according to the paperwork, she'd been held back several times.
She loved making up history for herself; it made things so fun! She'd never been a student before, too. She'd pulled some strings to get herself into most of Jack's classes, which meant he could "show her the ropes."
The woman sighed heavily, then said sourly, "Alright. Here's your schedule. Your...cousin can show you around." She glared at Arah, who just smiled and chewed on her lollipop stick and took the sheet of paper. "The teachers will give you your books."
Jack glared at her and she grinned wickedly as they strode out of the office, linking arms with him. "Don't be such a sourpuss, Jacky!" she said in a sing-song voice, beaming at him. She blinked then and frowned, looking away and sniffing the air. "Mmmnn... blood. And... Bah!" She grimaced at him. "You didn't tell me you had all these vampires in your school! They all smell absolutely disgustingly young! Yuck!" She crinkled her nose and stuck out her tongue, seeming oblivious to the looks she was getting. As far as she could tell, the attractiveness of vampires was less about physical appearance and more about a sort of 'aura' of sexual appeal. In other words, most people--no matter their orientation or gender--just couldn't help being attracted to vampires. Thusly, she'd long ago stopped caring about who was watching her and if they were drooling.
She did, however, care that there were vampires there. She didn't like vampires, particularly young ones--and her nose said all of them were young, at least by her standards. They were in the habit of attacking her, which was annoying. Very annoying. Particularly since she was usually in the middle of something fun when they decided to ruin her day, and they always wrecked her cloths. She'd tried to start wearing red, but it always made her hungry. She'd just have to keep buying new cloths after fights. Jerks.
