Roxy was quickly carted away and taken to the hospital to be tended to. Once she arrived she had to have her collapsed lung re-expanded with a chest tube insertion, have her mangled arm stitched back together and placed in a cast, and give her some blood; there wasn't much to do with the rib but set it back in place and wait for it to heal by itself. Her lung and rib would probably be fully healed in a few days but her arm would be stuck in a cast for at least a week or two, depending on how much rest and blood she ingested.
Soon the vampire came too in a brightly lit, sterile room. She squinted her sapphire eyes and looked around before frowning. "D*amn.." She cursed quietly, realizing where she was.

Karl tapped his chin. "Ill have to do some spying then. Im curious about this new collar. Maybe Anber will know something." the male mumbled, telling the snake to wait while he went back into the house to ask the falsie if she knew anything about his brother.


Haji stayed with Cheshire for a while, helping the cat gather his things in preparation for moving. Once he was done with that, the man made his way down to the hospital. The woman behind the desk froze when she saw him and he sighed. Hospital security patted him down, then escorted him to Roxy's room.

Roxy stared blankly at the white tiled ceiling, boredly counting each square one by one. Though she wrinkled her nose as she felt a crawling itch right under her fresh bright orange cast. She glanced down at her arm and in vain tried to ignore the persistent nagging crawl. Oh how she wished she could tear the thing off now and say 'screw it', but she'd likely get another scolding from the oh so chipper Chevalier..
Roxy had been a bit confused as to why Haji had been so angry with her when she lied. Usually he'd just snort and say something like 'I know you're lying, drop the act' or he'd just walk away with a frown and she'd give and tell the truth. But he seemed more crankier than usual.. Perhaps it was his collar that was making him so grouchy..? But as the vampire was thinking that stupid itch annoyed her to no end that she resorted in trying to shove a plastic spoon under it and reach the irritant...


Anber had set Charlotte in the baby chair thing, allowing her to play with a rattle and other trinkets that were built into the device. She however, was sitting on a small step stool and scribbling down some notes.

Haji knocked first before coming in, the guard behind him keeping his distance. Haji scowled at the man. "Im not going to eat you for heavens sake." he snapped, making the human jump in realization that the chevalier was picking up on his weariness. Haji went over to Roxy, seeing her trying to stick a plastic spoon down between her cast. "And may I ask what youre doing?" Haji demanded more then asked, voice a bit gruff. He was tired, feeling the need for a nap, but couldn't afford the luxury of said activity now. He was also a bit hungry, but Haji didn't dare crack open a blood pouch in front of the masses of ignorant and paranoid humans. They were annoying him, making his already thin patience thinner with their skittish energy.

Karl found Anber and stood in the doorway. "The basilisk has informed me that my brother has some sort of collar in his neck. Would you perhaps know what it is?" he asked, seeing Charlotte playing in some sort of baby container.

Roxy heard Haji's voice and jumped, making the spoon snap in half; one part in her hand and the other crammed under the cast. She made a face before looking up. "It itches.." She muttered like a little child who had gotten caught red handed with their hand in the cookie jar, clearly looking and sounding much better than she had earlier.


Anber heard Karl's question and stopped writing. She set the pencil down and looked up. "Collar?" She inquired, tilting her head. "Well.. It could be a number of things... Did he tell you what it looked like?" She asked, resting her chin on her palm.

Haji watched it snap and huffed. "I see. How are you going to get that part out then?" he inquired, referring to the part that was still under the cast. The guard shuffled to a corner, as far as allowed from the chevalier in the tiny hospital room. The action made Haji scowl even more. At this rate, he was going to have wrinkles before the week was over.

Karl shook his head. "Im guessing its not a dog collar." he stated. "I know Haji wouldn't wear such a ghastly thing as a fashion statement, so someone mustve put it on him. Have you watched the news lately?"

"With a plastic fork?" The vampire shrugged, holding up the other utensil. Though her gaze slid over to the random guard standing in a corner. "You know, you can leave." She stated bluntly to the human, not liking people listening in on her conversations with others.


Anber shook her head. "Not recently, I haven't had the time." She answered simply. "But there's a TV in the living room if you want to go check it out." She suggested before standing up.

The guard stiffened, the shook his head. "I can't do that. Hes required to be under observance when at this facility."

Haji rolled his crystal blue yes at the statement. "They act like Im going to go full blown chiropterain and eat everyone." he snorted, annoyed. "Ive never once transformed into such a beast. But I might consider it one of these days...." Haji continued, muttering the last part as not to cause any more paranoia with the human. "How long did the doctors say you would be here?"


Karl nodded, then went downstairs and flicked through the channels. He soon came across what he was looking for and a creepy smile cracked his face in two. "Haji, Haji, Haji..." the chevalier cackled, already thinking of ways to doom his already beaten brother.

Roxy scoffed at the response from the man. "That's ridiculous." She frowned before looking back at Haji. "There's no set time, it just depends on when my breathing is more or less back to normal. I'd be outta here sooner if those idiots just let me take the blood directly but, nooo they want to do it the long boring way." She pouted. "But given the fact that I don't often listen to doctors I'll leave when I feel like it." She said, sitting up slightly, barely wincing with the movement.


Anber grabbed Charlotte and followed after the Chevalier. She watched the screen and smirked as well. "Oh, seemed he finally snapped." She commented with a grin.

Haji nodded, understanding. "So I see. I don't know why you don't just take the bag off when theyre gone and drink it. What they don't know won't hurt them." he said, ignoring the man huddled in the corner.


"Indeed. And over such a small puddle." Karl laughed, amused with his brothers misfortune. "Ill have to pay him a visit. Its been such a long time."
