Kuroi smiled a bit, then reached out a little and gently took his hand.

Haji frowned, seeing the snake was still on the move, he told Roxy to move out of the way, not longer willing to put up with her heroic antics. The Chevalier, stabbed the beast fully, removing its one eye with ease. He held on when it shook its head in pain. The thing couldn't paralyze people if it didn't have eyes.

Roxy blinked as she heard the slithering movement coming towards her now. She gritted her teeth and lifted her good arm, letting flames roar in her palm, aiming it at the beast's lower body again. She made sure to keep her head and gaze down, there was absolutely no way she'd let herself get paralyzed or killed here. Not after her speech about handling things. She could hear Haji yelling at her to move but she refused.


Dark grinned as her small hand fit perfectly in his. "Are you cold?" He inquired, plum eyes looking at Kuroi.

Basilisk screeched and wrapped his tail around haji and threw him off. He screeched at haji and roxy before quickly retreaing bck to were he last was with karl.

"A little, yes." She replied quietly.

Roxy gritted her teeth and watch the beast retreat but not before throwing one more good sized ball of fire at the creature. Her legs were trembling, her back was aching, and her arm stung painfully. She'd taken on quite a bit of damage but she wasn't going to show just how much she was really hurting. If she did that then Haji wouldn't trust her to try and fight again if something arose.


Dark grinned and let his long ebony wings spring out of his back. He used them to scoop her up and pull her closer to his person so that they were practically face to face. He kept the appendages out and around her so that she was surrounding by the warmth. "Better?" He grinned.

Haji rolled over onto his side and got up, he brushed himself off, , watching the beast retreat like a dog with its tail tucked. "Hmf." the male snorted, then turned his attention to Roxy. "Exactly what was that?" he demanded, too cranky to be gentle on the little vampire.

Kuroi blinked with a surprise, and felt that odd, warm feeling in her cheeks again- and they got that light pink tint in them again as well.

If she remembered correctly, it was called blushing.

"Yes, much better. Thank you." She said, smiling a bit.

Roxy heard Haji and did her best to make her breathing seem normal and compose herself. She didn't want the Chevalier to notice just had badly she was hurting so she shoved the pain deep down and tried to bury it with a shovel. It was hard but she could contain the agony for now...
"What do you mean what was that? I told you to stay back! I had things under control." Roxy snorted, clearly upset that things had gone amiss. Though she tried to suppress a cough as she tasted her own blood on her tongue.


Dark smirked seeing Kuroi's cheeks turn a bit pink. "No problem." He replied softly, clearly enjoying the girl's company.

She let her forehead rest against his chest, relaxed.
