When Jewel moved away, the headache vanished. "Weird," he muttered and looked back over to Jay. "I have a question to ask you," he said in a rather nervous tone as he rubbed his hands together.

Denver smiled when he saw Jewel, and River flying down after her. He nodded a hello. He was starting to get some of his hearing back, but not much.

River flew down after Jewel, but went to Jayson and demanded to be held. He smiled and leapt into Jayson's other arm. He giggled and smiled. "Mommy!" He said, kicking his legs.

Jayson smiled at River. "Okay, okay," He said, and handed River over to Kim. He bounced Kaylan around a little. He put her down gently. "Daddy will be right back," He said. He went into the kitchen and grabbed some applesauce and an apple. "Yes?" Jayson said. He grabbed the food and walked back over to Taro.

Jewel gently kissed Denver's cheek in the same spot from eariler.

"Can you tell me a bit about these.. demons," Taro asked in a quiet tone. "When you told me to run away from that one earlier, I couldn't. I was frozen on the spot. It ended up giving me a kiss before I killed it. Now, I feel as though I can't be around Jewel anymore. Ever since then I've been getting these random headaches, but they vanish when Jewel's not around."

Kim smiled at River ''Hey there little guy'' She said.

Jayson paused for a moment. He looked up at Taro. "Well, demons usually take the form of your worst nightmare or most wanted desire. There's only one way to get rid of your headaches. And that's to achieve whatever it was the demon was. And, since it was Jewel, I assume it was you desire. So, you have to get Jewel to love you," He said.

River cried and spat in Kim's face before flying over to Jewel. He sat in Denver's lap, because he was close enough to his 'Mom'. He giggled when she kissed Denver.

Denver looked at Jewel with love. He kissed her cheek back before smiling at River. He bounced his legs up and down to entertain the baby.

"She doesn't even seem interested in me anymore," Taro said as he peered down the stairs to Jewel and Denver. "It looks like Denver won her heart over already." He gripped the railing on the stairs tightly. "And, what if I can't win her heart over? Will I just go insane and die or something?" He got a sense of hopelessness. "I fear as though I ruined my chances on that one night."

Jewel saw the way they acted towards Kim, and they called her their mom. She looked worried but smiled when Denver played with River. She couldn't help but smile.

"If you can't do your greatest desire, then you have to change it. Now, that isn't as easy as it seems, but it's possible. Then once you've changed it, you have to accomplish it," Jayson said. He took a bite of the apple.

Kim let out a sigh, leaning forward andleaning her chin on one of her hands. This is just another of those sighns that you don't belong here she thought to herself, her kids seemed to adore everyone else,everyone but her.

Kayla fluttered over to Jewel and clung to her leg happily, watching River and Denver.
