Police were agitated, taking notes and coming with hand-cuffs. Not good at all. She hated it when life suddenly turned into this muddled pool of hate as everyone scrambled to get a hold on the elemental first. The authorities were usually the second to try, but Zara had always successfully reached the elemental first. It was part of her psychic gift, in which few really had.
"Zarain Tailia Willow." Zara introduced, flashing a silver badge backed by leather. The policemen faltered, squinting. Apparently they hadn't gotten the memo. Too bad people were being careless enough to get in Zara's way when she needed recruits. Instead she turned to them and frowned.
"Well, get lost! Get the people away, my recruiting session doesn't need to be watched by the entire town! Confiscate phones, laptops, cameras. Anything that holds pictures. We don't need pictures ending up on facebook." She ordered, but when they didn't respond she wanted to sigh, "Well, get a move on then! Government matters!" She made shooing motions with her hand. Reluctantly the police backed down and started backing the immense crowd.
"Come with me, don't look back. Sorry to bother you, miss, but if you don't come with me you might get dissected in a government lab. Not much time to explain here, the officials will get suspicious. I'll explain everything in the following days." Zara told Echo, moving towards her large black Jeep.
{Sorry, changing to second person x3}
Echo nodded feebly as she let herself be swept away by this stranger. The day was passing in a blur; she had no idea what was going on. She tilted her head up to the sky. The blinding light of the white, white sun and the vibrant sky radiated down on her, and it somewhat helped bring Echo back to reality. That same tingle she had felt moments ago was still coursing through her veins, and with every step she felt like she heard rainwater sloshing on the ground. But that had to have been her imagination; there was a drought. Little did she know, she was going to be one of the most powerful water benders to ever be seen by Zara. Echo walked carefully through the seemingly endless maze of people. "Where are you taking me? Where am I going, who are you?" Echo managed weakly. She couldn't risk going somewhere with someone who could be more dangerous than the government themselves. Echo's pupils shrank in the midday light, and the fear and the inexplicable pain going through her at the moment was horrible; it was unimaginably unpreventable and uncurable and she was going to be stuck with this memory of the pain forever. Echo exhaled shallowly and allowed her eyes to roll back in her head a little as she closed her eyes. Her steps were mechanical and robotic, which didn't differ much from her thoughts and her voice. She was no longer able to differentiate between the voice of Zara, the voice of the police, and the voice of the crowd, not to mention the fine line between dreams and reality, and this was certainly a dream. Unfortunately, it would become a bitter reality that Echo would be stuck with, but for the moment, Echo seemed to have no power over what would happen.
