The stadium was dark. Only the blue safety lights lined the top of the modern building, designed exclusively for the ceremony about to take place in it. Rin swept her eyes over the penumbra veiling the arena, her heart thudding a bit faster than usual. She was standing besides her fellow Japanese athletes, only few of which she knew by name, as they had been told a million times by the ceremony's organizing committee members. She wasn't the one chosen to carry the torch for the portion of its path to the stadium's cauldron that was reserved for Japan, so all she was meant to do was to march in and watch - which, honestly, was good enough for her.
Suddenly, fireworks burst into colorful flower-like designs above their heads, ripping 'ahhs' and 'ohhs' from the public. That moment, a giant screen flashed to life, displaying a blue '5' that was easily twice as tall as she was. The countdown had begun. The crowd hushed momentarily in expectation.

Four. Three. Two. One...
The lights flashed on, blinding Rin for a moment, but the sound of thousands cheering was unmistakable. The Screen changed to depict the United Kingdom flag, and a young voice sang the first notes of the host country's hymn and more fireworks boomed and crisscrossed overhead, creating strong and colorful light and shadow games. Dancers and gymnasts began swirling in a complex choreography, and slowly the enormous column of every nation's representatives and athletes started moving as the Greek flag entered the stadium firstly as traditional, followed by its white-clad delegation. Only then it really sunk into Rin's mind.

She was there at the 2012 Olympiads.
It was not a dream.

Julio Maestas

Julio's eyes struggled to adjust in the darkness, being constantly drawn upwards towards the only visible pinnacles of light, which were very high up and not too promising. Drawing his eyes to what Julio judged to be the middle, he found himself looking a little lower than anticipated when a camera flash of noise, fireworks, and cheering thundered through and destroyed the quiet silence of his fellow Mexicans breathing, along with that of the foreigners. "Aye!" he cried subconsciously, blushing as a few around him smirked with a poorly-contained laugh, and to hide his embarrassment, Julio watched the first flags arrive.

Personality:
Annie gives off the 'tough girl' appearance, but she's actually soft and only looking for friends. She can be majorly harsh to anyone who offends her, or her friends. She is the class clown type of person when you get to know her, always just wanting to make jokes. She is easily fustrated, though, almost as easily as she is embarrassed. She is a perfectionist, and tidies up when she has nothing to do, even if the room is already tidy. She tries to please other and to cheer them up when they're sad, but she normally fails due to not knowing what exactly to do.
Bio:
Annie's mother died at her birth, giving her only her father to look after her. The truth is, she was born in America. Her father always drank, leaving Annie to do the housework. She didn't blame her father, thought; the grief of losing her mother must have been to much for him. When Annie was five, she was sent away to England to be taught at an English boarding school. She grew up in England with her Aunt and Uncle looking after her in the holidays, until the boarding school she was in got closed down when Annie was 13. Her family couldn't find another boarding school to put her in, so they resorted to secondary schools. She was sent to one far away in Richmond, having to be looked after by a teaching assistant there with no family to help her. She lived her life normally, but in high school it changed. There was many groups in high school, and one was archery. Annie had been put in to each of the clubs to be tested for what she would be good at, and in Archery she was excellent. After five months she was taken by the trainers of competetors for the Olympic Games to train for 2012, and so here she is now.

Emily paraded in after the countries before her, doing her best to hold a proud, unreadable expression on her face. America was one of the countries with the largest amount of contestants, no doubt, but she had been placed near the front and to the side of the crowd where she was more easily seen. Wearing matching a uniform and putting her feet down as quietly as she could, Emily glanced around the large confinements at the cheering fans, the light that had just blinked on, and at the rest of her teammates. Feeling out of place, compared to her old, sunny home in Florida, she forced herself to think about the beautiful, state of the art swimsuits she would be wearing, to think of the topnotch surfboard that would be handed out to her. The anxiety in her body washed away, and Emily's expression was replaced with and exhilarated smile. Reporters clustered by them were snapping pictures, and she did her best to grin for the cameras, but the whole feeling was overwhelmingly exciting. Her footsteps quickened, and, ignoring the lights glaring overhead, Emily put her chin up and simply beamed, promising herself the summer would be one she'd never forget.

Ren walked out and closed her eyes at the sharp lights. She blinked them over and over again until she could see. She waved at the raging cheers coming from the crowd. She watched as the dancers gracefully landed with precision. Ren took a deep breath at the crowd. She was obviously nervous. She held back a tear of anxiety, joy, and just plain excitement. She cleared her throat and looked at Rin as she stood behind her Japanese colleges. This is it. Ren thought as she stretched her arms and cracked her knuckles. It's show time, baby.

Dev smiled and bit her lip and she light finaly beamed on her, she smiled and posed at all the cameras. She was such a poser. She saw her compitition and gave them all the evils, she wasn't going to be nice to them. She looked around the stadium and smilied at everyone watching, she tried to find her firend but there were to many people and she just giggled and shaking her head in diss-belife. She sighed making sure she didn't faint or go hyper as she normaly did, she saw the trailer where Demon was she smiled "good he made it" she sighed happily.

Ren gave Dev a stupid face as she could easily tell she was her competition.She crossed her arms and her hair whipped backwards. Ren sweetly smiled at a photographer as he took many photos of her. When he was done she waved at the crowd once again. She waited for the announcements to come on to break her chain of boredom.
