Here's to the promise of glamorous living

- "Oh!" Elizabeth crooned over Annie, giggling at the little dog's antics. "Come here, baby!" She bent down and lifted her onto the seat beside her, giving her a gentle pat on the head as she continued to squeal like a little girl over poor Annie. Elizabeth knew she must sound ridiculous, especially to some people, but so long as no one could hear her what should it matter?
At that thought she sighed, returning right back to her fretful ways. Some of her wondered even still if she should have agreed to marrying Leopold, he certainly could have done much better, perhaps someone who didn't worry about absolutely everything every single day. Not that she even always thought that way, some things she felt she was rather good at when it came to this queen business, but there was just as much if not more she knew she'd be terrible at forever.
"Elizabeth." Leopold's strong voice caught her completely off guard, causing her to flail in an extremely unladylike fashion and ultimately come sliding off the window seat and to the floor with a yelp. She mentally berated herself for the entire thing. Now he'd know she had to be up to something, no one reacted like that unless they had something to hide.
"S-sorry." She stammered, carefully getting to her feet again. Falling had never hurt so much when she was younger, another silly curse of old age, especially when you fell on stone floors. "You just startled me."
If you havent been tested you certainly will

- Foxe was never quite sure what to do with himself when he didnt have a job to do. His master's strict training had never left him any time to develop hobbies or interests, now he felt there was no point in actively trying to find something worth while besides lurking around the castle grounds. It might make other members of the staff feel awkward - he was an assassin after all - but Foxe felt eh had as much right loiter as the rest of them.
He wandered his way along the walls, not paying attention to much of anything until he came to the gate, sighting Jane and Prince Castiel hopefully before they had seen him. Castiel was not so much a problem, though Foxe had to admit he felt ill at ease with any of the King's children. Like they'd somehow be used to test him and find things out the king wouldn't want to hear.
Jane though, Jane was absolutely terrifying to a young man who had no idea how to act around women. He'd met more than one assassin before, that alone would not be a problem. But add that profession to something as unpredictable as a female and Foxe wondered just how he managed not to snap when she was around.
He ducked his head and tried to skirt around the gate as far as he could, even if that was the stupidest idea he could have come up with at the moment. Trying not to be noticed was just as good as painting yourself bright pink and he knew that.
Someone save me from these preacher's sons,
save me from their daughters
