Jane is rather quiet, and prefers to observe and see what the outcome is rather than comment and change the situation. She lets things play out on their own, and as a result, a few horrible things have happened to her, but she would have changed them if she could have. Jane is sometimes cold and distant, observing much more than the average person could have. She is fairly competent in social situations, but sometimes she just doesn't know what to say. Jane prefers the company of her weapons and a couple targets rather than people. She can get agitated sometimes, and her logic system almost completely shuts down and she can almost never find a solution to the problem unless it's obvious.
History:
Her parents were born and raised in the same small town at the edge of the Kingdom. They never left it, not even when they had children. They were mostly uneducated, and only knew how to read, write, cook, and do their jobs. When her mother was cooking dinner one day, a grease fire started and her mother threw water on it. The resulting flame engulfed the whole cottage, and thankfully Jane was away at school or she would have died, also. With the death of her parents resting on her shoulders, she gathered what she could from the house and went to the village orphanage. Jane was only seven at the time. She lived at the orphanage for three years, until she was ten. At that age, she was kidnapped by an assassin from Ubus, whose job was to capture her and many other children from her small village, in order to gain something from her Kingdom. (She never found out what, oddly enough, so it still remains a mystery.) But she was the only one kidnapped, as she had been observing the owner of the orphanage plant seeds for a garden. The other children had noticed the assassin, and they stayed inside and tried to warn Jane, but she hadn't turned around even when she heard their muffled shouts through the thin walls. The assassin had been ordered to stay outside the orphanage, because there would be hundreds of children there, and they could easily gang up on him. After he kidnapped Jane as silently and quickly as a hawk, even without the orphanage owner hearing, he fled to Ubus, fearing somebody had seen him. The assassin locked her in a cage, feeding her small amounts of food and not even giving her a blanket to bear the cool autumn nights. When he reached the castle and presented her to the King, the assassin was executed on the spot for failing his job. Jane was kept as a servant for Ubus until she was eighteen, and legally an adult. Jane immediately quit her job, and went back to Arin, where she became an assassin. She changed her name because she didn't want to be recognized by anybody from Ubus. She doubted it would happen, but it could be possible. She wanted to be able to give something more to the Kingdom than a pretty face and children. She wanted to be an assassin, but as long as she didn't have to capture children or kill them. That was her only condition, and she was accepted. With skills she gained from being a servant she is able to complete her job fairly well for somebody without proper training.
Appearance:
Jane is rather tall, standing at 5' 10" and weighing in at about 150 pounds. She is slender and her arms are strong from scrubbing floors for eight years. Her hair is cropped short, originally because it was easier than having to tie her hair back. It's a dark cream color streaked with light brown and some red. Her bangs are the same length as the rest of her hair, and she normally puts them behind her ear while she works so it doesn't interrupt anything. Having no prior training, she doesn't have much endurance, and could probably only run a quarter mile flat-out before tiring and giving up. Normally she wears dark, neutral clothing with either jean shorts or jeans. If she has to dress up, she has a lengthy black dress that took her months to save up for during her servant job. During 'visits' she wears a black t-shirt and black sweatpants, with a pair of thin, cotton black boots. She wears a bracelet she salvaged from the wreck of her house after it burned down. It's a simple bracelet, made of wrapped string, that once was colorful but all the dye has been worn away. Her mother made it for her as a necklace when she was a baby, and now it's small enough to fit on her wrist. Her weapons consist of a tiny dagger that she keeps on herself at all times for protection, and a long stick she uses for defense when she's out doing things for the Kingdom. It' slender, and made of some odd composite--stronger than wood, but not quite as strong as metal. It's a dull gray, and about three and a half feet tall. She can wield it quite well, and seems to have a natural talent for it. Jane has a sheath for it when she's not using it, just so she doesn't have to carry it and use one hand for everything.
