"It doesn't cost to talk so why not?" She shrugged. She studied the boy and realised he was roughly 6 years younger than her. "What's your name?" She said softly, sitting down on a garden bench. "I'm Rosalyn, the royal court's psychic. I'm not really considered royalty, though." She chuckled. "More of a..." She groped for the right word. "Worker. Yes, a worker. I foretell the future and omens. What about you?"

Orian looked at her, she was right, talking wouldn't cost anything. So why did the royalty never talk to him? "I'm Orian Camadan." He introduced himself. "I'm, well, a servant. I clean things, lots of things. See something clean, probably my work." He said, Rosalyn didn't seem strange, he'd thought a psychic would be that way, but it seemed she was more like a normal person that anything special.

Starbase Typhon is a roleplay run by me, off site. It is Star Trek based (but not the new movies, as you will see) and it definetly needs people who are willing to be active, write with great grammar, and of course, are semi-literate or above. Format is play by Nova, which involves multi-person posts that are a different way of doing things that here of CS. But it's lots of fun, and we need long term people who will help us complete our missions. As the commanding officer of Typhon, I invite anyone who would like to give it a try to please apply! (Warning that quality of applications is strictly judged. Very strictly judged.) The link is in the image.

Rosalyn chuckled again. She liked this boy. "Nice to meet you." She smiled, pulling her long blond locks back behind her ears. "To be honest, I've never cleaned anything in my life. When I was little I thought the king and queen did. I was very little." She laughed. "Hardly anyone talks to me these days, because I'm very... distant." She sighed. "First time this weeks I've said anything. Anything that makes sense."

Orian nodded, he knew how that felt. "Sounds like we're similar then." He said, as neither of them had been able to talk to others much. "So where are you from?" He asked, wondering if she had had family wherever she had left to come here. He thought of his siblings and his parents. They were so poor, he had only two gold coins but that was more than any of his other siblings. Except Tirisa, possibly Valira too, but he wouldn't know, since he hadn't seen her in three years. Liken was probably making a fair amount of money as a healer, if he had gotten an apprenticeship to a good healer. Or he could be wandering the streets homeless, but somehow he thought the first would be more likely.

((Umm... this will sound a little strange, and I don't mean to offend you. But I am finding it a bit difficult to read the color you put your posts in, perhaps you could use a different one? I'm not a mod or anything, so sorry if I'm out of line...))

Here's to the promise of glamorous living
you must drink up now cause it's all that your getting

Elizabeth took the king's hand and tried to stifle a giggle. He hadn't payed as much attention to her since becoming king, but when he did she usually felt like she would melt. With a contented sigh, she linked her arm with his, leaning her head against his shoulder.
"Do we really have to marry off Castiel?" Of course it was a silly question, but she hadn't had the time to worry about it until the little matter of the ball was put out of the way. The entire thing made her feel an awful lot older than she would have liked to feel at the moment.
If you havent been tested you certainly will
and I promise it's going to kill . . .

[[I am SO sorry for being so inactive! Life's been kind of hectic. I've got more time though :3 ]]

Shadows all around you as you surface from the dark
Emerging from the gentle grip of night's unfolding arms
Darkness, darkness everywhere, do you feel all alone?
The subtle grace of gravity, the heavy weight of stone

-----------------
you are the moon
-----------------
You don't see what you possess, a beauty calm and clear
It floods the sky and blurs the darkness like a chandelier
All the light that you possess is skewed by lakes and seas
The shattered surface, so imperfect, is all that you believe

░♔♚♔░ Leopold nodded to his wife and cradled her dainty arm in his. He patted her hand slightly, and indulged a slight smile, trying to soften the tension between them "Yes, he must be married. If not, who will carry our name, and keep this Kingdom in order? I cannot leave it in the hands of someone incapable." He took a few steps forward, guiding them out of the room and into the hall "True, he could rule as a bachelor, but what would become of him? A spouse would keep him grounded, and responsible. He also must carry on the bloodline, in order to have another heir. Nonetheless, there is an order to things. A system. And, Although I cannot make him fall in love, I can and will have him married." He paused, silent for a long while "Arranged, if need be."

The King sighed, lost in thought. Soon, after walking for a bit, they reached the stairs. As they walked down, step by step, Leopold began to speak again "Don't forget to invite potential wives to the event." He gave her a look "I know how... Forgetful you can be." Continuing, in a lighter tone "She must be royalty, and responsible royalty at that." He decided "We mustn't have an incident like that fiasco with the Duke of Welinore. His wife was an irresponsible, wild creature." They reached the foot of the stairs "And I wish only for the best of wife for my son." He sighed, releasing a breath of air and looking at the Queen "Well, enough of that sort, tell me what you have in mind for the event."

Though she had thought of the entire scenario plenty of times - twenty-one years gave you the leeway to do such a thing when raising a child - Elizabeth had never expected it to feel quite so nerve wracking. Then again, she had to admit that everything had the potential to literally worry her sick.
She nodded rather absently at Leopold's instructions, until the mention of the Duke of Welinore. She wasn't about to let that happen to any of their children whether he reminded her or not. "Of course!" She agreed sharply, maybe a bit more harsh than she really meant it. She bit the inside of her cheek out of worry, releasing her first full of skirt she had been holding as they walked down the stairs. "I'm just not going to go out on a manhunt for her." She explained after a moment, feeling that she had to now. It was to her great relief that he changed the subject, allowing her to gush over all the plans she had made - thankfully sanctioned by him at the last minute - and even start thinking of more.

The things I've held sacred that I've dropped
I won't lie no more you can bet
I don't want to learn what I'll need to forget

I like throwing my voice and breaking guitars
Cause it doesn't remind me of anything
I like playing in the sand what's mine is ours
If it doesn't remind me of anything

( Sure. I was getting sick of the pink anyway. :) )

Rosalyn
"I was born and grew up in the palace, as my mother was a lady in waiting. I was going to follow in her footsteps, until.. she was murdered." Rosalyn sighed sadly. "I was an only child, so it was a lonely adolesence for me. I decided it would have been to painful being a lady in waiting, doing all the things my mother should have been doing beside me. I miss Christabelle.." She went off in a daydream and promptly snapped herself back to reality. "I wish I knew who killed her." She said bitterly. "My father is another story. One I don't know about."
