Kodi glared at Taylor, her ocean blue eyes smoldering. "I'm NOT a little girl. My parents are gone. Me and my sister have to live on our own and hunt down people to survive. People are looking for US. I'm not that different from you, or Aso, or Max. Especially Max. So don't talk to me like I'm a small, weak girl who could soon double over and start bawling. Because I'm not."

Taylor didn't seem too phased by her tone of voice. He wasn't sure what to say. She did seem to be in the same situation. "At least she has people coming after her and not erasers," he muttered under his breath as his gaze flickered over to Aso. "What should we do with her? I don't think Max will come with us if we say that Kodi can't come."

Aso blinked and looked at Taylor. "Fine." she said in a hushed voice, and rolled her eyes, "We can just leave her somewhere on the way, right? Just... I don't care."

Taylor nodded slightly. He didn't feel too comfortable bringing Kodi along, but if it meant Max wouldn't come, of course he'd bring her. He did want to go along with Aso's idea, though. He thought that bringing a human along would just slow them down. He turned to Max. "Fine, she can stay."

(*shrugs at Erin * I'll try. Next time she's on email I'll talk with her.)

Max smiled. "Thanks." he took Kodi by the hand.

Aso wasn't too keen on the idea of a mortal. Besides the fact that she viewed her as a snack food, not a friend, she still didn't fully trust her for some reason. It just felt like she was hiding something.
Finally she decided that she would watch her for a while and then read her mind, searching for anything which was wrong in there. She sent the plans to Taylor.

Taylor sighed silently. "Where are we headed anyway?" he asked curiously as he shoved his hands into the pockets of his torn jeans. He did catch a hold of Aso's plan, and nodded his head slightly in agreement. It was best to learn about Kodi as much as possible. Even he didn't trust her. Max seemed to, though.
