Alia averted her eyes quickly, instead looking at the wound of that poor Ari girl.
Justin shook his head, a bit worried. "I don't have anything," he said.
Ari started to tear up, just a little. She didn't want to die...she didn't want to die...
Tommy and Angel flew, swiftly and smoothly, until they found a safe place. It was surprisingly beautiful. It was freezing though. There was tons of trees, mostly pines, and Angel figured they were in Canada. She could see the Niagra Falls. Yep, they were in Canada. And right in the middle of all this scenery, was a little, run down old shack. "Okay, hon. Do your stuff. Tell Justin that we are at a cabin right next to Niagra Falls. Do you think you can do that?" she asked, brushing some blonde hair out of his face.
Tommy nodded, smiling, and thought out to all avians within a one-hundred thousand mile range, "Mommy says we are at a cabin next to Niagra Falls," he thought.
Justin, Ari, and Alia caught Tommy's thought.
"Who's Mommy?" Alia asked softly.
Justin looked at the girl. "That would be my mom. Angel. The thought you received was sent out by my little brother, Tommy. He's three. They found a safe spot for us. In Canada. Next to Niagra Falls, in the woods," he said. That last little bit was exactly what Ari needed. She grabbed Shadow's hand, and Justin's hand. Justin took Alia's hand, and Alia, feeling the need to, slid her hand into the cool one of Devin's. Her eyes flashed upwards to his face. A bit shyly, a bit flirtatious.
Ari grimaced. "Hold on," she said, her eyes, her hair, and her nails all turning a deep deep black, the color of pain and hurt. This was going to drain her more than ever. And she teleported them all. Thankfully, to the right shack.
Angel and Tommy landed, and Tommy ran into the shack. "Tommy, be careful!" Angel called after him, walking practically on his heels. She forced open the door. Inside was old, and dusty, and absolutely freezing, and the fog didn't help. But it was shelter. She put the bags of food and clothes down, and made an earth box over it, to protect it from any animals. Though it probably wouldn't hold against badgers or skunks, but she doubted they'd come into the shelter.
Ari, Justin, and Alia, dragging the others with them, all appeared in the center of the floor.
Angel's eyes widened, and Tommy cried out. "ARI!" they screamed in unison.
Tommy was already glowing, and flying without use of his wings when he reached Ari. He touched where the blood was coming from, and Ari coughed heavily and sat up. "Make sure you get Shadow!" she said, a bit groggily.
Tommy nodded, and touched all of Shadow's wounds, still glowing.
Justin smiled and realeased Alia's hand. He had felt nothing. He belonged to Kat.
Alia breathed a sigh of relief, and when she realized she hadn't taken her hand out of Devin's, she blushed and dropped it lightly.
