Mᴏʀɢᴀɴ Bᴏɴʜᴀᴍ
"Don't you point that gun at me!" Morgan growled at Kat, looking furious. "Why do you get to tell me what to do, anyway?" She crossed her arms over her chest, but she was scared. Unfortunately, that made her even more verbally agressive, when her best option was probably to sit down and take it.
After a long moment of starting down the barrell of the handgun, she growled, digging the key out of her pocket. "If you want a key so badly, here!" She held out the key, but she wasn't prepared to give it to anyone yet. The silver glinted, but something about it looked wrong to Morgan. Avoiding Kat carefully, she stalked over to the door, pushing Cole and the others out of her way.
"Here, let me try it," she said, inserting the key into the lock and trying to turn it. She held her breath, but nothing happened. "See? it doesn't even work," she told them, dropping it to the floor in disgust. She kept her hands in plain view so no one would be tempted to shoot, and stepped back. Her hair was ruffled, and her face was red. Despite normally being a pretty girl, Morgan looked terrible. She sat down on the concrete floor and stared at her feet, not caring about her clothes anymore. "I just want to go home," she whispered, revealing vulnerability in her voice for the first time since she had spoken to these people.

Cole didn't react when Morgan shoved him, simply moved to the side. It was possibly because there was a gun pointed at her, and he didn't want it pointed at him, but also because he was watching the rest of the group in another hallway. He was terribly sad when Morgan's key didn't work, because he had wanted to see the castle, and when she dropped it he picked it up and tucked it into his boot.
He really wanted to be over on the other side of the hallway, though, where they seemed to have opened a door. He walked across the room casually, hoping that everyone was distracted enough by Morgan not to question him. When he reached the other hallway he gasped, looking out upon a crumbling city. He didn't dare walk out onto the cliff that was there, despite the fact that Zara, Sky, and Nick were already out there. Cole couldn't shake the feeling that everything would just crumble when he stepped through the door.
"Hey, guys!" he called to the three standing on the cliff. "What's going on?" he tried not to be too loud, lest the others at the castle door hear him. "Is it safe?" he added, the toes of his boots resting on the threshold, unsure of which direction to take. Cole breathed in, the scent of earth and plant-life assaulting his nostrils.
This has to be real, he thought to himself.
